Norton anti-virus 2002 vs. 2004???

I just bought norton's anti-virus for 2002 version off ebay for $5. What's the difference between the 2004 version if I'm getting updates on the 2002 version? Basically my question is, is it safe to use the 2002 version and will it kill the same amount of viruses as teh 2004 version since it gets updates?

i dont think that would matter..

i use norton anti-virus Professional Edition 2003...my virus definitions are always up too date! so far i have had no problems so im guessin its doin the job!

Only really cool thing i see is 2004 which i have scans every file you download and has a little pop up window to tell you its doing it. Ill do some research and see if there is anythign else.

really there are a couple of FREE anti-virus's out there that are small in size but if u keep em updated they're all u need
