Im not seein how bad promo is bad kuz 9 outta 10 someone else is gonna hear about u. People buy recoginition. U dont see people walkin round buyin knock off shit proudly. They buy the name more than anything else when making a purchase. I know someone u know maybe even u have bought something in ur lifetime kuz someone else recommened it to u or just kuz u heard of it and was curious this is the same kinda thing with bad promo. i feel what ur sayin bout bad promo can destroy ur shit but u gotta be at a high enough level to where ur losin thousands to millions of customers. I dont think a project like this can hurt u

I think you are combining a few different ideas into one hypothesis. If I go around telling everyone that your album sucks that is BAD PROMO. Regardless of how many times someone hears your name, if it is in the context of your album being poor, that is not going to help you. However negative publicity as defined by the media, is what can generate positive results. If I tell a bunch of people that you got arrested for some gangsta ass shit, although the media would define that is negative publicity, in the rap world it will probably help you sell albums.

The shit that gets album sales is the gay ass stunts that 50 and Game were pullin, when Jay Z got arrested for stabbing some fool right when his album came out, and all the other bullshit. It's planned that way and the media eats it up because the corporate rap industry feeds it to them and they don't know the fucking difference....either that or they're all sell outs which is worse.

i get what ur sayin and kinda agree wit that but at the same time people make their own decisions. i know people who will check for an artist just kuz they heard the name and get an idea for themselves. And I believe alot of people will too. Even if they hear its a bad cd they may try to find something (usually online for download) to get an idea for themsevles. To either A) Laugh at how bad they think it is or B) To know what everyone is talkin bout. Thats where my concept came from. Its illogical but I hear shit like that all the time

Expecting people to have their shit together when they make claims (even when they're outlandish) isn't being negative homie. If cats were smart they would pay attention to every word I say and apply it because I'm living what they dream about and want for themselves. I won't just hand it to you but I'll put you in the right direction and dust you with a little free game to work with. You still have to do your own work.

And the only ones who might think I'm negative are the ones who arn't sharp enough to see what I'm really tryin' to do when I chop. Some cats might get sensitive when I break it down but the music business and life in general ain't all warm milk & cookies so that's not how I'm going to talk to you. If it's too much to handle, you ain't cut out for this business.
People would take you more seriously when you "chop" if you would drop the cloak of mystery and let cats know who you are and what you've done. You expect cats to come on here with some credentials and present them when they speak....you should do the same. I know who you are. I figured it out a long time ago. It's really not that big of a mystery when you put together all the clues that you've dropped throughout the years while you're choppin' it. I suppose I'm one of the sharper people around here though.

And quit acting like you don't know me when we cross paths in public. I think it's funny that you go out of your way to act like you don't know who I am and I have to take the initiative to greet you. I will allow you to remain anonymous because it is your wish.....but next time you see me you better holla @ me!! :classic:

I'm one of the most seriously taken people on these forums because of all the knowledge and insider information I've dropped so that's not a issue. A few people question and wonder but 99% of that is just curiosity since all they care about is what famous people I know and work/worked with.

You expect cats to come on here with some credentials and present them when they speak....you should do the same.
I don't come here for business at all so nobody needs to know. I get enough attention as it is so I'm cool with being able to come on and not get hounded.

You don't homie. Over the years I've learned how to keep my privacy. Some people think I'm Sir Mixalot, or Kevin Gardner, or Funk Daddy, or whoever but they're all wrong. They think because I have some NW ties that I'm a NW name. Nope! The NW throws cats off more then put them on track.

Except for these forums, our paths have never crossed so you've been holla'in at the wrong cat. That's too funny man! Tell you what... If we ever do meet and do business, I'll let you know! Cool?

And considering how smart you claim to be Sick Wid It....for you to tell me a bold faced lie like that is pretty pathetic.

c-67-160-58-141.hsd1.wa.comcast.net

That's your Comcast Broadband IP address. Notice the "wa" in it? That means Washington foolio. It's generating from Federal Way. Now that doesn't mean you're in Fed Way....but it means you're somewhere real close to it. Your old IP address is 67.160.76.97 and was generating from Auburn. An older one from a year ago is 67.168.18.11....once again from Federal Way. lol....do I bother you?

Watch everybody......Sick Wid It won't be back to respond or say shit. You're full of shit. You're not Kevin Gardner.....you're not FunkDaddy......you're ****** *******.

It's OK man.....your secret is safe with me. lol

I don't tell lies homie, I'm a grown man. You're wrong & you're getting colder. You're smart, you should know better then to rely on something like a ip. I was put up on that stuff a long long time ago and from then on that kinda stuff won't ever lead you nowhere. Don't underestimate cats who value their privacy homeboy. Like I said, if you ever wind up in my office I'll let you know. And I'll expect an apology! lol!

That's what you're relying on? You're smart, you should know better then that! I'll say this.. I was put up on that stuff a long long time ago (I would think a computer savy cat like you would be too!) and since then that kinda stuff won't lead you nowhere. Not to me, my office, my studio, etc. Nope! You're wrong & getting colder. I prefer it like that so as long as your assumptions keep it that way, cool with me!

I'll give you a A for effort but a F for creativity and result. lol

Yeah.....whatever Robbie.

I'm not gonna even spend the time it would take to break down the subject of IP addresses and how Comcast Broadband users have static IP's and how if you were using some sort of IP masking the last thing it would be coming up as is some Comcast shit....but whatever. It's your story.....I guess you'll be sticking to it.

And don't bother deleting your posts....you know I can bring them back up so we can all see what you REALLY meant to say.

Who's Robbie? Not me. I don't delete my posts to 'hide' them or whatever you're trying to imply either. I'll leave both of them there for everyone to see, so everyone can notice how they both say practically the exact same thing. I decided to reword it, like I do with a lot of my posts. What I meant to say is what I posted. That's why I posted it. Why do I even need to point that out? To each his own I guess.

His name is either Robbie or John. Because of recent developments.....I'm starting to lean towards John. I mean.....let's be serious here people. There's a very SHORT list of possibilities. And I already know who it ISN'T.

So would the real Sick Wid It please stand up?!?!
