i think its funny what that bird used to stand for, and what it means today
wow have times changed

people who sport the Huelga Bird are idiots who don't know the meaning of it. THe main reason, IMO, they sport it is because it's RED. Chavez and the gangs in northern cali are not connected in any way, shape, or form. BUt norteno gangs make it seem otherwise. And the majority of nortenos don't even have parents that work(ed) in the fields(that' where this whole chavez movement started in the 1st place). Nortenos make it seem like the Huelga Bird stands for something, in their mentality, when NONE of them has ever picked up a shovel, hoe, or picked fruit & vegetables in the blistering sun.
it's sad that the seperatiion of regions(north&south) and colors(red&blue) has my people killing each other and the only people that can guide them in the right direction is their own parents. But parents nowadays can't even discipline or give good guidance and morals to their own children. It's sad but it's reality at the same time.

In the cities you could say that but out here in the South Valley shit is still the same, folks still bust there ass in the fields some banging most not now because there are easier ways to make money now. My Pops worked in the fields at one time, alot of the homies perents still do. Ever heard of the town Farmersville???? Mostly everyone that lives there works in the fields and built there own house.

that's good........and i look up to people who put in work in the fields & construction. My pops works out in the orchards(almond, grapes, apples, peaches etc.) and my mom is a cannery worker and i'm hella proud of them 'cause they showed me to value the everyday dollar and not to be a lazy ass(i can't say the same for my brothers.......this generation is lazy as fuck). I've picked grapes in 100+ degree weather, i've pulled out leaves on the grape trucks, picked peaches, pruned vineyards, trimed almond & peach trees, sorted cherries, and drove tractors around. It's nothing to be proud of but i know that my experience would get me hired faster than the dude sitting at home watching tv all day. But all that hard work paid off 'cause now i'm sitting in the office kickin' it with the a/c on blast freezin my ass off.

STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Thread is going in the WRONG direction. This thread is to discuss the contributions the nortenos have made as a people/ culture to main stream society and about norteno culture in general. Not to fight with each other and talk shit and scraps coming in here talking their own shit. STAY ON TOPIC PEOPLE
