Mares is a beast he impressed me in his last fight. He actually cut-off the ring and landed shots on a great defensive counter punching fighter in Moreno. Anber is the real deal. Great fight for him and Rigo but Top Rank fighter won't happen.

Well I was wrong although Rigo ran a bit to much for my blood. He still won the fight and had a good game plan. I just dont like all the running. Its ok to hit and move like Sergio did against Chavez but at time Rigo ran ran ran lol. Anyway good shit for him and he won the fight so thats that. Mares would beat him down though. Yea yea I know I was wrong here so maybe i would be wrong about Mares but I thought mares would beat Donaire so thats how high I am on him. I hope we could get that fight. Got Em!!

This guy didn't answer a damn question I asked. Answer them or STFU. Here they are again (don't duck):

when two counter punchers get in the ring, the one who plays agressor typically loses because its out of their comfort zone and the other gets to fight their fight. Which was the case of Marquez vs Mayweather, unless you think Marquez was exposed as a hype job? How well did Marquez cutoff the ring? Riddle me that,Batman.

Casamayor was done at that point. Not even close to being the same.

Oh so now Donaire was begging Rigo to do drug testing because he didn't want to fight, but Floyd was begging Pac to do drug testing because he wanted the fight so bad? lol you're a shot poster bigface. Your vacation made you dumber.
I seem to remember Donaire clearly stating that he wouldn't force any fighter to do random testing. But when it was time to fight Rigo it was random test or no fight. Unlike Manny Rigo manned up and agreed to testing. Three years later and Manny still hasn't been randomly tested. Lol. Proved wrong yet again, more excuses for Donaire please. Mr. MY Shoulder hurts..

I don't care what anyone says, I want to see Mares vs. Nonito. It seems like a lot of people discredit Mares. Dude has fought the absolute best opponents he could and will fight anyone. Steps up and takes on a tough fight in Ponce De Leon. Can't knock the dude. He has skills and he's a fan friendly fighter. What's not to like?

He's a good fighter. Another good fight for Donaire is Chris John. I can see that possibly being made in China with Shiming on the undercard. Would be a huge event in Macau.

Not sure what Rigondeaux does from here. He's the unified, undisputed, lineal champ at 122. In only his 12th fight! Bigger names are at 126 but he may be a bit small there. Maybe he can fight Gary Russell jr. at some point. The hand speed of these two...

Mares, Mares and Mares. That's the biggest fight he can get. Maybe he can move down? His options are really limited with the GB/TR thing. It's a shame. I think he's really small for 126 even though it's only 4lbs higher. Who knows. Maybe he can make it work? Either way, there's not really gonna be a huge fan following for him more than likely.

I feel kinda bad for Nonito...I was in Kings boxing gym training for like 8 years off and on and I remember Nonito and his older brother training as kids...back then Nonito was so hard to hit he looked like Pernell Whitaker...there was Andre Ward...and James Page there as well...I stopped boxing once I noticed a couple of cats sounding punch drunk...I was cool once I seen them get that way over time...but about the fight itself...Nonito in his haste created his own problem from the very beginning by thinking he could KO Rigo he should have been patient and worked his jab up and down and stayed in the center of the ring. Forget chasing Rigo from corner to corner...throw lead rights but not when you are squared up with Rigo because his lead will get there first but rather throw his lead when drifting slightly from Rigo's center moving left...tuck the head and your lead right will protect you from Rego's right hook...try to time it...throw it to keep Guillermo honest. If Nonito could have kept it close after 5 rounds he probably would forced Rigo to take chances which would have allowed him/ Nonito to play a back and forth distance game with his longer reach. But Nonito fell behind so far it was really over by the 4th round...in Rigo's mind there was no reason to come forward...game over.

Rigo's experience in the ring was just to much for Nonito to handle.

Rigo knew Nonito's pride was going to force him to become the aggressor and he took full advantage of it.

Finally got to see this fight yesterday and damn......I obviously didn't see this coming.

Rigo looked like the Champ in the ring. Way to quick, way to much power.

I heard the announcers talking about Donaire not training hard and it did look like he was unmotivated. He got handled.

No excuses. Props to Rigo the new Champ.
