yea, wtf two weeks?

i was smoking and eating pizza the day after, no joke. some people say it hurts, but i just needed advil (saved the vicodin for a good day)

haha me too. I was eatin mcdonalds the same day and didnt touch my vics til I was all healed. didnt want to waste my high on some damn pain.

but on the real, dry sockets aint no joke. my sister got one when she got hers pulled and she was in nonstop intense pain for like 3 days.

i gotta go to the dentist tomorrow to get my wisdom teeth pulled and from what i understand it's gonna hurt for FUCKIN' 2 WEEKS, but that's not my problem.... I CAN'T SMOKE!!!???, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

has anybody else been through this before, please fill me in on what ya'll went through, PLEASE!

I GOT MINE PULLED, SUCKED!! WELL IT WAS ONLY ONE, HURT LIKE A BITCH. I MOSTLY SLEEP CUZ THE VICODINE FOR LIKE 3 DAYS AFTER THAT I KEEP MYSELF BUSY SO I WOULDNT SMOKE, AFTER LIKE A WEEK I WAS SMOKING AGAIN.

IF U DO SMOKE, TAKE A SHOT OR TWO AFTER, IT'LL CLEAN IT OUT SO U DONT GET AN INFECTION!! CUZ AN INFECTION WOULD BE ALL BAD

I had all 4 of mine cut out of my head, they never came through my gums. And I remember that it did not kill me, but it was painful. They knocked me out completely. My buddy had it done while he was awake with just a local. But I remember I was out of school for almost 2 weeks.

Dry socket can happen a few different ways. Sometimes the hole closes up on top and leaves a pocket of air in the hole. Sometimes the holes become infected. Sometimes food can get lodged in there and cause swelling.
The dentist will give you this turkey baster type of thing that you fill with water and shoot in the holes to keep them clean. This is the most important thing you can do after having teeth pulled.

fuck getting your wisdom teeth pulled. i had a bad reaction to it and couldnt eat for 2 weeks (just liquids and shit). As for smoking, it was the worst decision i ever made, shit hurt like hell for some reason. Every time i inhaled smoke that shit was killing the holes from where my wisdom teeth were. But thats what happen to me u could be different.

I was smoking by the next day. The experiance of getting them pulled was worse than the after effect. They should give you Ibuprofrin (sp?) to help with the bleeding and inflamation.
