Went to their website and got this message:

Torrentspy Acts to Protect Privacy
Sorry, but because you are located in the USA you cannot use the search features of the Torrentspy.com website.Torrentspy's decision to stop accepting US visitors was NOT compelled by any Court but rather an uncertain legal climate in the US regarding user privacy and an apparent tension between US and European Union privacy laws.

We hope you understand and will take the opportunity to visit one of these other fine websites:

Daily Suture
Heavy Music
Massive Mating Game
WackyVids.com
Linkbucks.com
Hollywire.com
SearchAgent.com
Teenist.com (ADULT)

Good looking out on their part.

They knew the RIAA was gonna start finding those of us who use TorrentSpy in the US and they pulled the plug on us.

Cool shit.

Well the last 6 months they have been re-directing their DL from mirror sites...this shutdown of their site is very recent, as I visit there at least once a week.

Im behind a firewall and the outside only sees me as a router IP.

And what happens if you go there by accident? Its a public website that does not require a username or password to access it. They cant flag an IP just for going to a site.

lol, I JUST made a thread about torrent sites. I saw this shit on torrentspy tonight when I got home from school. How do I get to be a part of private torrent sites anyway? If all I need is an invite... show some love in a PM. I got you on a crazy good porn vid or something.
