yes theres definitely a double standard going on when it comes to it being ok to make fun of certain races but not others. if this is some type of asians rise up type of shit fuck that shit cause natives have it worse than anybody could possibly imagine. as for getting a intelligent conversation started here just give up; nothing constructive can come from talking about racism on a board that has shown over and over again that its racist
True about the Native Americans having it the worst. I have some Native friends here in Albuquerque and they've been stripped of everything and they got some isssues in their community that I can't even begin to explain. But always saying someone has it worse is a cop out to improving things and making things better. It's like saying "I know a lot of poor people so I should be thankful. I don't need a better job." This isn't just about asians. This applies to Arabs, Hispanics, Blacks, Whites, whatever. "I get profiled a lot because I'm Arab but I let it go because I 'm thankful to be on american soil." That attitude is going to improve his quality of life. NOT!
the problem is that we as one race (human) have yet to realize that racism no matter if its against this color of skin or that color of skin is still racism, and we have to evolve past this primative way of thinking and destroy racism as a whole if we want to truly progress towards being a species that can live in harmony with one another, regardless of physical and cultural differences. and the human race as a whole isnt intelligent enough to do it, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be.
the american media is controlled by the government, and i think any check and balance system would fail because obviously the problem that originally sparked this thread was that there is an off-balance and double standard when it comes to certain races and the degree of racism they have to face and have faced
