i mean LiL John got bangers when it comes to beats and club slaps all day(you can tell by the crowd reaction when you hit a club and they play his shit) he just hit the market at the right time with the right sound. i personally think he's garbage but his beats are hot, that one on the new 8ball and MJG album is super hot but fuck it, the man making his money i guess you really can't hate him.......Dipset i think is o.k. I like Camron he got something different when it comes to style than everyone else....the rest of dipset, um....NO! but it's marketing and money, if you got it you would be doing the same, i mean we got some hot tracks for the clubs and the radio what not but not a big budget anymore behind us to pump it up...hopefully the word spreads and people feeling our shit on this new album and help us get to that stage....it's a one in a million shot but fuck it...

Whoever it was that said Clear Channel said it best. Also, its the people that are buying the music, people are gonna keep buying the main stream shit cuz they can dance to it, so underground artists have to mold themselves into a specific form to blow up

Or, you could wish that you still had the kid-in-a-candy-store mentality, and APPRECIATED the music long before you popped it in your cd player

.....MESSAGE!.......
I hear you. I appreciate music in general but we of the independent Bay have saturated our record stores with lukewarm cd's and nice try's.

The people fuckin it up are the people who think its a game.......the music industry is every bit as much of a business as the automobile industry, the tobacco industry, and any other BIG business out there. Look at Chuck from Done Deal. He is probably the "biggest" factor in the industry that posts here, along with like B-12 and Playa Jay Tee. Them dudes are all about there business. There's a lot of people out there that should take their example.

i think it's about being original. every song on the radio or video's, aren't talkinga bout something new, it's mostly the same subjects, BUT with original hooks, or catchy phrases.

it seems to me, everyone in the bay has a lable on them as just being "underground". which is not a bad thing, BUT when someone from the bay tries something new, and maybe goes to a different style or sumthing, everyone thinks they sell out? what is so wrong with change ? this is off the black eye in the game topic, but it seems to me that the bay is trying to emulate what other famous/ popluar artits do.

this is not the right answer or nuttin, just my opinion.......
