all you white people wouldn't understand cuz long hair isn't relevant to your culture
(correct me if I'm mistaken)
Nobody said anybody has to cut their long hair. They gotta tuck it in the fuckin helmet, big deal. Poor millionaire athletes, now they need a slightly bigger helmet to accomodate their hair. Fuckheads need to stop cryin about this shit.

the NFL & NBA have to keep their "players" from lookin too inner-city Black. Its clear as day. THey know that a lot of white folks from the more racially seperated parts of the nation dont wanna c that or have their lil sons and daughters lookin up to guys that have hair styles like those they villanize on pure prejudice

cmon lets run down some of the more recent shit that these leagues have cracked down on..

1. Restricted certain apparel. Basically remember how AI and all those cats ushered in a new street style, that got too street for the NBA

2. Prevented players from putting out Rap CDs

3. Cut the dreads off

i mean damn thats some culturally isolated cant-do's.

Yea they completely ruined Shaq's rap career. He only released like 4 albums.

LOL @ people STILL not understanding that pro sports is, first and foremost, a BUSINESS

SMH
yeah, but people know and recognize polamalu for his long hair. shit, even if they don't know his name you'd say "the guy on the steelers with the long ass hair" and they'd know who you're talking about. showing his name by tucking his hair in will NOT sell more jerseys, and that's what this whole thing is supposed to be about

How many jerseys would he sell if he suffered a career ending injury when his neck was broken as somebody yank on his long ass hair to get him to the ground?

New union president against NFL's hair proposal
By PAUL KUHARSKY • Staff Writer • March 27, 2008

NFL players fearing they’ll have to go to the barber or find hairnets won’t have to worry if Titans center Kevin Mawae’s voice is heard.

The new president of the NFL Players Association said Thursday he’s against a proposal that would prohibit hair from hanging out of a helmet to the length that it obscures the player’s name on the back of his jersey....
