is it a lie anymore if he did it to "protect national security" ?
i mean if there are known knowns, unknown unknowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns, then can't a lie not be a lie anymore as long as when you lie you think you're doing it for the right reasons?
what about if you lie and then lie again later saying your first lie was for the right reasons. do those lies cancel eachother out? or were they not even lies to begin with?
I guess it depends on what the meaning of is, is.
