Doc Truth is a complete hypocrite. Black's went through opression, this happens to me, that happens to me, I get beat by the cops. And that's part of history? Let me give you some schoolin. People bring it onto themselves. It is called ignorance.
When all slaves were officially freed, and many white males left for the war, they left their jobs too. Black males moved with their families to two of the bigger industrial towns in the country (Oakland and Detroit), where the price for living was cheap.
You talk about how black people get beat and how hard it is being black, but stupid is as stupid does. If you are gonna live in an area with a high crime rate and join in on that crime and then go back and talk about how cops are so unfair to you, then what's that? I call it hypocricy.
Then, you talk about how you have to be a thug black guy from the streets to listen to rap music. Do you have to be a tall skinny white guy with your hair in your eyes on a fuckin acid trip to enjoy Led Zeppelin? There's black people in my community that are richer than fuck, where are they getting that money from? In life, the harder you work, the more money you make. But because you are black you automatically think that society is geared to make you fail and ensure that you never succeed, so you slip into the hood life and rob and shit. There's people that come out of your streets every day to good schools and colleges, because they have a good head on their shoulders. My homie Gilbert (black) moved out of Oakland to live with his aunt so he could focus on school for his last couple years of high school. I bet he wishes he could back out of college and the window of opportunity and go back to the hood and sit on his ass and talk about how the white man is preventing him from getting anywhere in life.

Even if he hasnt, he's speaking on behalf of his people, and most of us have or still go through it. First off, that wasn't the day after slavery ended smart ass. It was a while after slavery ended.
I don't pretend to have gone through this so-called lifestyle, but I have plenty of friends who did the exact opposite of what you've stated is the only way to live in the hood. So I don't know, maybe they don't count?
Next, I never defended white people saying nigga, if it were up to me that word wouldn't exist as it is. For number one, I don't believe in only a certain group being allowed to say a word, and for number two I don't see how a word that was created to disparage an entire race can be used as a term of endearment between members of that race.

Aight first off, i never said there was an "only" way to live in the hood. So dont put words in my mouth. It is a way of living a lot of young black males are sort of forced into beacause of a lack of other options presented to them. Whether its because of our shitty public school systems, lack of parental guidance because theres only one parent who has to work all the time just to make ends meet.
