xplosive mag is the best westcoast magazine on the planet. i know its not really fair to call it a westcoast mag since they do features on rappers from all over, but they rep the bay harder than anyone else.

here's a few true stories. when rick rock was out here at the same time cognito was out here. cog was in the magazine and brought it with him to times square with him. one of the guys who was there spittin in the cypher named puzzle was in the mag and tripped out cause he never saw it before. well, a week ago gonzoe was in town and we were in times square some cat came up to us showin us some articles in xplosive about cognito, we started lookin thru it and gonzoe ran accross an article on himself he had never seen.

xplosive is sold all over the states including NY and is jam packed with up and coming artists as well as the biggest cats in the game. i love it more than murderdog and the source and i support it to the fullest.

yo ceza, when is the deadline to get an artist into this issue, and when does it drop? thanks

DJ PIMP-The deadline is Friday to get an artist in, everything after this is on a first come first serve basis. It will drop End of January, at the latest February 8, 2006. Thanks again for the positive feedback.

With all respect due, I disagree with you one hundred and ten percent, b/c by your definition there is no magazine dedicated soley to the west coast of any major importance in existance right now. xxplosive gives you hip-hop from a WESTCOAST, more specifically a BAY AREA viewpoint WITHOUT BEING LIMITED to just our region (basically it avoids ethnocentricity). Any magazine that wants to MAKE IT needs to have mufuckas from everywhere else - fuck, is murder dog not a west coast magazine? how else are we gonna draw in a fanbase other than the one that currently exists (we're trying to grow and expand our fanbase not cannabalize, for lack of a better analogy). say someone picks up an issue cuz lloyd banks is on the cover but reads about keak too - thats cool as fuck! thats what the bay needs to blow. i'm sorry but the bay and the west ain't poppin enough to support an ozone or don diva (they support south shit tho) type mag soley focused on us right now so we gotta draw em in slowly by trickery. ha!!

CHINESE MIKE: Top 5 of importance. How are they important to you? Are your products talked about in them. Seen in them? Why? just for my knowledge.... Yeah they are the biggest by #'s, but what about the street credibility???? Do they all have that? Walk down your street and ask folks, do they read any of those magazines.... I'm not attacking you Mike, just trying to get other opinions about what we do. Keep putting out great product. See you soon.....

all i know is i enjoyed the last issue with DAVID BANNER, YING YANG, REMY MA, BABY, MIKE JONES, SLEEP DANK, COGNITO, MITCHY SLICK, GONZOE, YOUNG JEEZY, T-NUTTY, CUTTHOAT COMMITTEE, B.C., MISTA FAB, YA BOY, BOSKO, WARREN G, GOLDIE LOC, NATE DOGG, SOUTH CENTRAL CARTEL, FREDWRECK, KAM, LIL MO, MARQUES HOUSTON, SMIGG DIRTEE, JAE MILLZ, Q-TIP, KURTIS BLOW AND SO MANY MORE. it dont get any more diverse than that. this magazine may be put out in northern cali, but they reppin every corner of the map. MOST OF THOSE MAGAZINES U MENTIONED CANT COME CLOSE

Thats right, Illusive Records will be in this next issue. We have some other great artsists not mentioned yet, stay tuned...... 4080 I don't know what happened to them, It was a great Magazine. It was and know we are what the Bay needed!! So everyone stop hating!!! Be a part of the HOTTEST Magazine to support the West Coast-Get in XPLOSIVE MAGAZINE!!!!!!!
