i need to get a new set of tires
anybody know a good mom and pop in seattle? or anywhere near there just not tacoma or south past tacoma. or any of these big chains doing specials for installation and alignment / rotation wahtever on a full set?

i was thinking of just hitting up discount tire company they seem to be the most reasonable chain but if i can save some money finding some nearly new used tires then fuck it thats weed and drink money

be careful when buying used tires. Don't use any tire manufactured over 6 years before the date you purchase. Saw a special on 60 minutes about it and you can tell what year they were manufactured by the code on the sidewall of the tire...

I just bought two new tires for my car and found out some good info. Discount/American Tire will price match anything even online retailers. I found my tires online for $75 called them up and told them that I found them cheaper. At first he tried to tell me he could do $250 out the door for them and that after shipping and having them installed the tires online would be cheaper. I told him that I could have them at my door for $180 and installed for $12.50/ea. He tried to tell me that nobody would install a low profile tire for $12.50 but I told him that I have had it done before. Eventually he matched the price and was able to sell them for $200 out the door. You might have to haggle with them a bit but they will usually match the price.

If you still want some cheap used tires then call around and get prices and find out what brands they are and how much tread they have. It might be a good deal or it might not be. My last set of tires were Michelin with about 45% tread and they were only $30/ea and $12.50 to install. I called the same dude up this time and he had some goodyear tires for $35 with about 50% tread.

my shit was like $490 the other day and my boy plugged me with 1/2 off the install cuz he owns the place. Fucking everything is so damn expensive.
Fuck I feel like I get ripped off anytime I buy tires now, my girlfriends dad worked for a tire wholesaler and the last time he got me tires they were $40 each for a decent tire too and he would call around and get me hooked up on the install for like $20.

Tire mounting is free at walmart if you buy the tires there.
ohhhh cool i mustve been hella high and looking at it wrong, thanks for looking it up and pointing that out, that changes everything

but im wondering does "Tire Mount" include? valve stems and lug installation and balancing and rotation? if so then thats a good deal, discount adds about 100 for guarantees and installation walmart would be like 40 for guarantees and install.

then again a chill just went up my spine thinking about trying to go through a warranty squabble with walmart. shit i near had a meltdown trying to return a sleeping bag

What size are you looking for? Like I said go to American tire or call them and tell them what you found the tire for online they will match it. I found my tire on www.onlinetires.com also www.tirerack.com is a good site. They will try an get you for a higher price and if they do just tell them you are going to order them online and have them installed at a mom and pop place for $15 they will match the price.
