Thing is, people don't get leaks to piss off or put down artists, they do it cuz they want their music that bad, or they're taking it for a test drive. Although I don't like the second method I mentioned, the first one is very credible. If your shit is leaked, then you're doing something right. EVERY album gets leaked, and you guys are no different. It's how you handle it which will determine whether it's something positive or negative, but threatening fans, whether they be hollow or not, ain't the way to go about it. Killer leaked 2 weeks before the drop, and it still hit the billboard charts and Independent charts. Have faith in your fans, don't condemn them.

Your right tho man...on the realy real...if you in the Lab cooking up an album for weeks you dont want all the hard work to be for nothing. I helped one of my friends here do a record and some fag stole the masters and droped it on the streets...the problem came when niggas was bootleging the shit and when the album did drop everyone had heard it and didnt want to fuck with it. It wasnt a question of if it was good or bad but the fact they already had it. Why buy it twice? Or why buy it at all when I can get that shit for free? I know theres some loyal fans that will buy regardless but you cant take that shit for granted these days. You gotta protect your intrests and hard work and make sure you get comped for it. I think that if anyone has ever made something to get money they would understand this shit. Its just bussiness and it makes good sense to protect your ideas

Well the fact of the matter is that it's gonna get leaked, whether you like it or not. You can't do a damn thing about it. If you WERE to "do something about it", you would have to somehow get the album delivered in stores the very day it drops. Good luck with that. And fuck anybody with these silly ass threats of "you better hope we don't find out who leaked it", because you won't. Simple as that. There's way too many people working in music stores, so good luck with that. Your hollow internet threats don't scare anyone, and quite frankly, I doubt any leakers even hit up these forums, so your threat nonsense serves no purpose here. Like I said, turn the damn leak into a positive thing, show people that you ain't scared that your shit will be leaked. Show niggas that you're as street as you say you are. And if it IS a dope album, mothafuckas will buy it. You can't blame your lack of sales on a leak, it goes hand in hand with your promotion, album quality, and exposure. If you can't sell enough records, blame the person who's distributing and promoting, or blame yourselves for not putting out a good record (and I refuse to believe that, because this album is shaping up to be dope as fuck). As far as death threats on internet forums go, I think that speaks for itself.
Dude, there are probably 100 of SS' cd's out in the world right now. On top of that, you've got to think about when they get pressed and the hands that touch them to pack them into boxes. There are numerous ways for an album to leak. It's not like they release the cd's to the world on the drop date. That shit is out there floating around, and it's either contracted that they don't release it early, or by word of faith.
