Not a fan of the blurry look but it's cool... the reason why I'm not a fan of that kind of pic when people say they painted is because it looks like a filter... I would try to make it more custom so people really know without a doubt it's real OG shit! Look at Miami Kaos for example... his work look like no filter or Painter X option would do that... or no filter we all know...
Right on and I appreciate the feedback! Yeah Miami got bars and a real clean comic book graphic-type style.....I'm still tryin to workout my own signature style of my own but I get what youre sayin. After starin at the portrait for awhile today I realized I'm not satisfied with how it came out and will probly touch it up some more....as soon as I get Painter 11 re-installed. Guess I just needed to take a break from lookin @ it for 2 weeks straight LOL
I only got through 3 pages of this but I just have a quick question... I don't know about the program you're talking about, but it kind of looks like a pic and a lot of fucking around with the smudge tool. Weren't you just "painting" on top of a jpeg?
Also, cutting off a fuckin' arm in a portrait is almost considered "regular". Look at a school photo and tell me how many forearms you see.

in reality that's not painting though, just adding color where needed then darkening & lightening is not painting, that's just photo editing, on all the stuff you or he does, you can see it's really not much involved with it? I mean you might darken or lighten the areas with an airbrush, but you didn't paint anything from skratch like a painter would.. it's a totally different approach.
a painter paints a base color then paints all the features on top of it with different shades etc.
and i'm not saying it to knock anyone, but it's just a different process.
and lol @ the kat who said school pic arms are cut off....... yeah but that's where the picture stops dumb ass, they don't cut it off and then the background keeps going, big difference... also a fucking school pic isn't painted........ FAIL!!!
