the reason that i use a mac is because of work. i travel a lot and with a laptop, its convenient because i can view or listen to artists/producrs demos, singles, beats, and videos while i travel. Sure a lot of people can just email it but in some cases they can't. Having a laptop that fits into an envelope just isn't a priority of mine...but hey, it's gonna appeal to a lot of people who want to be seen with it

What people don't realize (because they don't read or watch the demo video) is that the Air uses the cd/dvd drives of other macs and pc's. As long as your boy has a wireless connection card, you could use his drive to watch that dvd.

Not that I ever watch dvd's on my computer anyways.

I d/l them on my computer, which doesn't require a drive.

nah you can only use it to install mac applications or the OS, cant use it to watch DVDs, play CDs, or install windows.
good call. I assumed, because of how they were describing Remote Disc.

negative, its the other way around. The only excuse if heard from other people using macs so far is.. "i dont get viruses" if you cant protect your computer you shouldnt even be on one.
LMAO monkey boy. That's the "only" excuse you hear?

I never seen people lined around the corner to buy the latest pc, like they do for macs....and air jordans! And, I say you shouldn't have to worry about protecting your computer.

ahahhaha you cant be serious, this is the funniest shit i've read on this thread. oh and you've never heard that the mac os x operating system is more advanced and all around better than windows?

http://ptech.allthingsd.com/20071025/leopard-faster-easier-than-vista/
which means what? you can type faster? you can e-mail pictures better? you can connect to a wireless signal faster?

and a review is one man's opinon on that product, not the consenscice of the consumers.

really lame comparison. PC are made by dozens of companies, hp, compaq, sony, toshiba, gateway, dell, etc. I can guarentee you that if apple or jordan was made by 10 different companies there would be no line at all.

and if you dont worry about protecting your computer your dumb as fuck. thats like saying i have a "smarter" kid so i dont have to watch them or take care of them. its teh same shit when you buy a new car, computer, house, etc. you want to protect your investment

nah it means the operating system is: more stable, not as prone to viruses as PCs are, has contained a number standard features since its first version in 2001 that were barely added in vista, i could go on and on. and i never said that walt mossberg's review was representative of the consciousness of the consumers, i just listed it as an example.

and again, the argument about being a "responsible" computer user and knowing how to keep your computer protected as a mac user is laughable. i dont need to worry about viruses or adware or spyware EVER. its like suggesting that superman should wear a bulletproof vest lollll

While i wouldnt buy a laptop w/no CD drive,
u have to realize there will be great interest to the business community.....
if u did need to install programs, ect you can just hook up an external hd, DVD/CD-ROM whatever.....

The only reason I own two PCs and no Macs = gaming.

If I wasnt a gamer, Id be on the Apple train right about now.
on the old VIRTUAL PC, they couldnt emulate the video card for the PC....
so games were non-functional.......
with the PARALLELS app, u can play games and everything......
but u dont even need it if u have a newer MAC with an INTEL chip...
