With the dates being pushed back futher and further, the fire starts to die. Once the demand and hype get cold the most typical thing for a label to do is shelf it...only to be later released on a lesser unknown independent label (when nobody gives a shit).

I'm pretty sure any label will shelf an album. I mean, it makes no sence for any label to put money behind a product if they believe there is no longer demand for that artist / album.

Yes, there are labels putting out albums / artist that have no demand, but then they wonder why that artist / album is not selling units. And that's just speaking in general.

Yeah. I'm just thinking that if they put out Kafani's album they probably wont shelve Keak's album considering Keak has a much larger fan base.
