Copped the album yesterday shits sic as fuck in my book. It sounded like real westcoast shit. Not this cross pollination garbage where these youngsters holler a bunch of westcoast towns and familiar settings but they got the accents of out of towners and mainstreamers like all they had in there cd collection was fifty cent and lil jon growin up but they still wanna be down with the bay/L.A.. I'm tired of that shit for real.
The westcoast socal/norcal used to have a distinctive sound and people had distinctive voices. Instead of expanding on that a lot of folks are changin completely to sell records.
The new Cube album is tight the sound is startin to come around full circle again. I was losin faith there for awhile. And for all you haters out there who say "man, Ice Cube makes movies he ain't hood no more", if hood to you is sportin a fifty million dollar chain around your neck that you could of sold to feed your "hood" or put some people on there feet and rappin about how you can train your homeboys hot sister or daughter or girlfriend to suck dick with as lil effort as possible cuz your game is lackin then muthafucka YOU AIN'T HOOD and that's probably why you don't understand the album.
But if rappin to you is "reporting" the real about your area and making a message to wake people up to this spaceage slavery. In a day and age where they tell the oppressed to lay down there weapons when it's fuckin up their businesses and then pump us full of drugs, mind control, and lies to calm us down. Then your more then hood. Your real. You still haven't sold out no matter what the odds. Your loyal. And your one of the few remaining savages that can still change this place for the real better not this phony perfect world they try and pull over our eyes.
Pac would be fuckin furious and ashamed right now if he was still alive at the way alot of yall be actin.
"... we was young and we was dumb but we had heart/ In the dark will we survive thru the bad parts/ Many dreams is what I had and plenty wishes no hesitation and extermination of these snitches/ Envious bitches they still continue to pursue me/ A couple a movies now the whole worlds tryin to screw me/ even the cops tryin to sue me/ so what can I do but stay true sippin twenty twos of brew/ And now the media is tryin to test me/Got the press askin questions tryin to stress me/ Misery is all I see that's my mindstate/ My history with the police just check the crime rate/ My main man had two strikes slip got arrested and flipped/ He screamed Thug Life and emptied the clip..."

i like some ice cube but i was just expectin way better outta this album. a lot of the songs was just aiight. i mean in my opinion the best song on there was the one they had on the radio, and the ones lil jon did were coo. but shit i was just disapointed, i thought i was gonna hear non stop knockers. i got juiced when i heard cube spittin on those 2 tracks on the lil jon cd so i was expectin his album to be bangin like that but ya know.
I had this Cd since may on 1st week of June and I still aint took out the cd rotation yet..My personal favorites are Child Support, Go to church and HEllo

I was the opposite. I havent really been into Cube's last few albums....I have been bumping his old stuff more than his new. So this album was refreshing and I am really feeling it.
