i havent seen any outrageously professional videos on the independent level cuz 1) there arent budgets floating around like years ago. our job is 2 promote our label-by any means necessary.
once our company money is accumulated we will try different methods of promotion. right now our focus is creating fan base with people who do support our hustle. instead of sitting around waiting on fairytale deals or critical investors,we do what real niggas are supposed 2 do and put our two's and fews together 2 make it happen 4 our team.
its hard 2 take advice nowdays cuz no one knows what they are talking about. its all hypothetical.if any of u had the winning formula,u wouldnt be on siccness advising...u would be working on your own project. my formula is 2 keep working hard and cleverly and the main factors in that equation are the good lord and my heartbeat. we accept constructive criticism but im 2 the point where u either accept or reject our WORK. 4 every hater,we have someone appreciating us keepin our era of music alive. i dont need people with no influence on what i do tellin me my age: i know,its posted on my ID card. im proud of my FAM. and we have spent the last 5 years on artist development as a label. the best is yet 2 come.either get "used" 2 it....or get "over" it.
WE ARE ALL WORKS IN PROGRESS. and im enjoying my journey and learning as i go along. in my vision......
EXPERIENCE IS STILL THE BEST TEACHER!! and being real is better than being fake.

Speaking in general: What I've learned so far is not only having the right shots when it comes to shooting video (much like photos), but having the know how in editing.

Not everybody can edit, it truly takes a skill to do that.

Most people believe that film makers are compressed in one package (camera man, director & editor), that is false, Folks.

Food for thought.

I believe that's what separates us "older / O.G. rappers" oppose to the newer ones today.

We come from the days of 4 track / 8 track recorders etc. We're used to truly making something out of nothing and evolving.

We didn't jump on the band wagon of becoming a rapper when we figured out we could do it on a home computer. We have a true passion for it and started back when there were no outlets like there are today. Dat tapes etc. Perhaps paying top dollar for a top notch studio with a guy who knew nothing about rap, but he'd record you.

You had to really go out there and push. There was no myspace, facebook, twitter, mp3's... shit! There was no Siccness!

So this new film era? We're bred to work with what we have, but know we will evolve.

my music career has been filled with controversy,growing pains and plenty of knowledge.
i am happy with what i am accomplishing 2day. my kids are fed right and off 2 school. im on my grown man grind,making grown man music,working towards my goals. the only ones who can make or break us are the men in the mirror.
