Details on the latest additions to the ECW roster:

Yoshitatsu is Naofumi Yamamoto, who has worked for New Japan Pro Wrestling in the past. He's been under a WWE developmental deal in September 2008, a signing that received attention from the Associated Press at the time, played up as WWE expanding its global horizons with the signing of a Japanese talent.

Abraham Washington, who debuted a new ECW talk show segment tonight, has been working in FCW as the developmental promotion's general manager Abraham Saddam (later Obama) Washington, obviously a takeoff of President Barack Obama. Real name Brian Jossie, he had been training at former WWE developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. He was among several talents signed to developmental deals by John Laurinaitis during a September 2008 visit.

Sheamus is Irish native Sheamus O'Shaunessy. He was trained at Larry Sharpe's Monster Factory and worked regularly in Ireland before being signed to WWE developmental in April 2007. He had been working dark matches and house shows for the Raw brand in recent months. While in Florida Championship Wrestling, he was FCW champion. He's received some media attention in his native Ireland for signing with WWE and has done some acting as well.

FCW champion Tyler Reks (Gabrielle Tuft), who debuted in a backstage vignette as a dreadlocked California surfer type is legitimately from California. He was trained at Rick Bassman's UPW school by the late Mike Bell. He was signed to a WWE developmental deal in February 2008, just a year after he wrestled for the first time. Of late, he's been in the top of the FCW mix. He does a number of high flying moves including a springboard moonsault that's dubbed "The Big Kahuna."

i'm just glad they got actual wrestling on there and not some bullshit storylines like on raw
well ECW is still basically a half show, so they have no real needs for storylines

what I'm pissed about is that they put Shelton Benjamin on there when Shelton deserves to be a main star on one of the main shows, but oh well

At least Shelton can be champ on ECW for a while. I think it'll be a good thing for him in the longrun.
fuck that i like Christian better lol, but i wish he would turn into a heel again already. Why even keep the ECW name if theres not gonna be extreme matches, they minus well call it WCW

i dunno , i watch it and i enjoy it . i dont go into it expecting anything close to the original ecw

evan bourne jack swagger and mark henry to raw is sick

vs randy orton on monday was henrys most exiciting match in awhile dont u think? he even got some crowd pops

looks like swagger could be dibiases replacement after he turns face

interesting to see benjamin get that mic time during smackdown and ecw , even tho he jobbed to the jap dude

the crowd really let that talk show host black dude from FCW have it with the "WHAT"s .. the bella twins coming out saved the day

i think Christians ECW run this year has been exciting , u can tell the crowd is really behind him , hes just been fun to watch for me this year .

i find ECW and Smackdown a better show than Raw. Raw just has the star power.

I can see this Shamus guy getting pushed, maybe Abraham, I just dont see them pushing Yoshi Tatsu....WWE never really been good with international stars.

That can be a unique feature, seeing the guys who you think deserve to go to another show, or have their last shot, or fired for that matter. And then you can agree or disagree with Vince, on what happens to who. It was fun back in the 80's-90's seeing guys go from different regions and promotions, and being surprised to see them resurface. It's not quite the same because raw, smack, ecw, are all under the same umbrella, but shows almost necessary to mimick the old natural order to keep developing stars. When a lot of fans say they miss stars that are no longer wrestling, I think they miss the wrestlers in the era more accurately, meaning WWF had 1 roster with the same things developing on Monday and then Thursday nights, whereas now there is less time for "genuine" superstar character development, and that was their plan to get away from being dependent on 1-4 guys who could hold up the company, as has been accused on basically all the top guys of the past.

But, the plan seems to have worked, as now there are people who prefer one brand over the other, and really is going back to the 80's style of touring, again after the Monday Night Wars; back then you had Hogan with the World Title running shows, HonkyTonkMan with the IC title running shows in different arenas, and there was a C show being discussed I guess we could equate to the modern ECW, but I can not recall what the 80's C show specifics were.
