Considering the phenomenal support that the community has thrown behind Map Pack 1 and the demands that they’ve made for additional content, we’ve decided a 2nd Map Pack is in order! Today, we’re happy to bring you the first details of our next DLC.

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 expands the addictive CoD multiplayer experience with three new multiplayer maps and one new co-op/Zombie map. Battle to control the river bridge in “Banzai” - a bright jungle map featuring a waterfall and hidden caves. In “Corrosion” face down your enemy in a shattered train yard, and in “Sub Pens” wipe the monsoon rain from your eyes as you struggle over a bombed-out submarine base. The Zombies make a return in “Shi No Numa” (Zombie Swamp) featuring Perk machines, the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2, new Achievements / Trophies… and flaming Hell Hounds!

Map Pack 2 is slated for release this June. Keep an eye out here at CallOfDuty.com for more information regarding Map Pack 2, and follow @JD_2020 on Twitter for the latest news as it breaks!

^^^yea thats true i find myself going back to MW every now and then. the only game mode that keeps me on WAW is zombie mode. i thought 2 of the 3 maps were good from the last DL content.

Same here...

I went back to 4, that bitch needs some tuning up though. I'm sick of those punk bitch team killing ass hoes, and they need to be kicked out like they do in WAW. COD4 needs some new maps too, it's been a long time coming...

I just beat CoDWaW. Campaign is fucking fun as hell.

That Nazi Zombie shit is fun as hell too. I wish the NZ map from the map pack was sold separately.

Also, I think it's good that TreyArch is still supporting WaW. IW basically shit all over their fanbase by making only one map pack. halo 3 has had multiple packs, Gears had multiple packs, Gears 2 has had multiple packs, WaW is bout to have a second pack, yet MW only had one. That's pretty weak IMO.

The second Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack drops tomorrow for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Here's the trailer for the most interesting bit - the Shi no Numa zombie map.

Shi no Numa is the map that proves that Japanese World War II soldiers can be the living dead, as can dogs. Consider it the great equalizer. Everything dies; and everything can rise from the dead. This, along with three not nearly as interesting normal maps will be available tomorrow for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network and 800 Microsoft points via Xbox Live Marketplace.
