Exactly , when your state has a small population the crime statistics can be misleading. The city of LA alone has about a million more people than the whole entire states of Nevada and Alaska combined.

You can take a small city of about 15,000 , through in 6-7 murders and according to the crime stats it would be the murder capital of the country.

Well buddy , you're dealing with whole state stats and they are misleading. Since Nevada is more dangerous than California, would you be safer walking through Reno or Compton? Would you be safer walking through Las Vegas or Oakland? It also works the opposite, would you be safer walking through Vegas or San Jose? To compare states like California with a 34 million population to a small state like Nevada with less than 2 million is apples and oranges. So if someone was to say "I live in Nevada and it's more dangerous than where you live because you're from Cali" is bullshit and that's what it sounds like you're saying.

i remember i looked at the dangerous cities last year on this aol thing...a couple that i remember reading was camden new jersey was number one...but yeh just wanted to say that...hahah and it was last year or something so no one should really care....yay

TO TELL U THE TRUTH LAS VEGAS IS DANGEROUS IN ITS OWN WAY BUT U DONT REALLY SEE ALL THAT CUZ THIS PLACE IS A TOURIST ATTRACTION.....L.A. IS KNOWN FOR ITS GANGS BUT U RARELY HERE THE GANGS IN LAS VEGAS U KNOW "WHY" BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO SCARE THE TOURIST AWAY...THE STRIP IS MOSTLY ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES TO BE IN VEGAS..THATS Y THEY RECOMMEMED NOT TO WALK OUTSIDE THE STRIP.....AND TO THE CALI HAVIN MORE POPULATION THAN NEVADA "SOMOS POKOS PERO LOKOS"
