I have a mass comm research project due shortly, and I'm needing volunteers to answer a brief survey after hearing an audio(haven't decided what to use yet). I'm trying to figure out how to set it up, but it's based on the affects of mass production of a gangster message (commercial vs. underground) and the distancing of social messages in lyrics due to major label's influence and creative control. I need 20 respondents. I'll be setting it up later this on today. Contributions would be appreciated.

I hope you have a strong line to reel the catch in! Haha! Homie it's summer sessions ain't nothing really worth lookin at around (all big girls and not notches but blotches). The shit that's easy on the eyes is either workin back at home, or auditioning to be the next big pornstar somewhere.

It means that the major labels watering down and mass production of the "gangster" image neglects the social importance of not only the music but the message. It goes farther than music because that is nothing but an extension of a larger tradition of expression of the people. I'm working on showing through different shit that the underlying message is ignored when major labels become involved in DEVELOPING a "gangster" image and promoting and selling the album.

In thinking about it, I'll likely use Jacka's More Crime against something Dr. Dre or Snoop to be fair. Since music is more regionalized these days, I can't do something from Cali vs. something N.Y. it'll foul up the numbers, but I still might use some lame 50 Cent bullshit to prove my point because it's really about underground vs. mainstream content.
