I don't know where else to ask, so I came here. Kind of sketched out I guess. Can I get into any trouble for releasing confidential trade negotiations?

I posted a reply to someone on the Angel's message board, and now my message is gone (mod deleted). Not only that, but I have Bengie Molina's agent e-mailing me asking how the hell I knew (I know a lot of people who are really close with the Angel's franchise and the players).

I know who gets offered what and where they are in the off-season. I just happened to open my mouth about this one because people on the board kept blabbing about where Molina was going.

Here it is:

Hi there Sir,

I am the guy who asked u about how do u know that Bengie was in XXXXX..... Would u mind telling me who u are and how do u know XXXXX (Bengie's wife)

This information that u have posted was suppost to be strictly confidential

Name
ProBaseball Mgmt. XXXXX
Email: XXXXX

I just don't want to be some Steve Bartman, you know.
So any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

yeah, honestly dont answer that shit...u dont have to answer to them...what are they, the mafia? ur not some insider whos had to promise not to divulge info to anyone...theres no law against it either, ur not under contract to anyone (at least from what u've told us). ur just a fan, and u heard it some where, plain and simple..

also this is the time of year that TONS of rumors get spread around, i heard about 3 different rumors involving milton bradley going to the a's...

if u give them any info, they'll just use it against u.

also, where is bengie going? lol

Thanks.

I replied and apologized to his manager (it could really hinder his negotiations), but it still didn't stop him from replying to find out who I am, why, etc.

Anyways, for the siccness fam.
Molina is in Toronto. Anaheim offered one year for 6 mil, and right now Toronto has the best offer. They are offering 3 years for 7 mil a year (21 million). According to his wife, right now the best option is Toronto (Houston is less money and the Met's fell through). Jose is probably staying though. He is at his home in Puerto Rico for the off-season.

I don't think you can get in any trouble for it, but if you're mentioning their family members I can see why they might be concerned.

I'm hearing Saarloos & Ramos (AAA) for Bradley is already a done deal, 3 people posted that they saw it on the local news in Sacramento.

^^^^this is just weird....i really liked saarloos, his stats werent that far off from loaiza, i think hes a great spot starter...ramos is ok to let go....

if this is true, what are they thinking (if they keep bradley)-hes not exactly enough of a power hitter to be a DH, but too good to be a 4th outfielder...maybe payton DH'ing or something? i dunno..any ideas?

If so, that sounds like a really good deal IMO. Should add some nice power to the line up.

It's much better than what I've been hearing about Manny to the Angels (Santana, Erstad, and Shields). We are about to get ripped off if this goes down.

Saarloos was good in Oakland... Very good... He exceeded my expectations by far... But he won't look so good anywhere else. He's a pitcher that relies on D and luck to get him through games... He had like 50 K's last year... That's terrible. Loaiza is a pitcher who can get guys out on his own... He had like 175 K's last year to 50 walks. Put good D behind him and he's gonna look even better. Loaiza's 2006 will be better than Saarloos 2005, much better.

You guys can let Erstad go since you have Kotchman... Shields might be worth holding on to... But I wouldn't wanna get rid of Santana... Unless maybe Boston is paying a lot of Manny's contract or something. But losing Washburn, Byrd AND Santana would be a lot for one offseason.

I think the Bradley deal fell apart...
