shit, im gonna say most of it was good d........fake show hardly brick that many shots on their home court.........pistons perimeter d was in that ass all night long......kobe went, what, 10-27, decent, but nowhere near his usual fg %, why, cuz long arm prince was contesting every shot, and when kobe got by him, there stood ben or sheed, malone got shut down by sheed, payton got did by chauncy, and shaq got his, but thats it.......larry browns a defensive genious, and got my sixers to the finals against em a few years back, but didnt have enough talent and toughness that detroit has to win the series......i aint buying la just "missed shots", i can only remember like 2 wide open shots they got all game, the rest were contested........if detroit plays their game, could be lights out for la, and maybe well see a teary eyed lil ho named kobe on the sideline crying again.......but all in all, im just glad it will be a good series to watch on tv

I've been trying to convince folks down here in the ATL that DETROIT gonna win since the beginning of the season. Everyone telling me that L.A. gave the PISTONS one victory. YEA RIGHT!!! It's more PISTON fans on the siccness than it is in the ATL. I'm glad yall rooting for my hometeam. I've been waiting for this since VINNIE JOHNSON hit the game winner against PORTLAND with 00.7 on the clock. 13 TOTAL PLAYOFF WINS, 3 TO GO!!!!! Don't act surprised.

Its game 1...

ask the spurs how this ends.

Lakers played lazy yesterday. Nobody stepped up....pistons can pray that lightning strikes twice...but i highly doubt you can get as lucky 3 more games.

Sad Fact: Pistons are still scared....lakers are sleeping.

no shit, man.. yall faker fans got excuses up the ass. they were sleepin? sure as shit didnt look like that to me? looked to me that the lakers' lack of depth (kobe and shaq and..... oh ya, thats it) caught up with them and the pistons' D showed them who's who.

like I said before, pistons in 7

what are the betting odds??? i would drop on detroit after seein the first game. they got confidence and look pretty strong.... with rip hamilton, wallace & wallace, billups knockin down shots, and the big bench guys that could somewhat guard shaq (noone can really guard him).. jacksons a good coach but brown got a lot of knowledge to and i expect a upset

and laker fans better hope they win cuz next year there done...no jackson, no kobe, payton??? malone?? problly gone too.. shit u better hope shaq dont cut to.. that would be some shit..

lakers wont make it out the first round next year :dead:

<time out>

Damn. It took that pic posted by caffeine to pull me outa the retirement bed. LMAO! Fugging Snaq making my boy Bibbalicous look like the "lil homie who wants to be down." Might as well served Bibby up with a good ol' fashion knuckle noogie while he was at it.

-ahem-

Anyway, I didn't post much after my initial bracket predictions - seeing as I had my Kings bowing out in the first round to the Mav's. Sac over-achieved much of the season and the signs were all over the wall that in end, injuries and the lack of a true floor leader were going to bite them in the ass with teflon fangs. The offseason should be very interesting.

<back to our regular scheduled program>

LA vs. DET

Lakerfan had to know that Shaq and Co. were going to give up the booty at least once - and prolly will at least once more for that matter. It's obvious to everyone else but the blindest of Laker homers that their team is a victim of it's own succsess. The fabled "switch" they seem to know they can flip at anytime is their Achilles heel. If Detroit can lock-in and exploit this, we may just have a series worth watching. Instead of the snore-fest no one in the county bothers to watch outside of Inglewood, CA.

Defense wins championships, eh?

But, unless Detroit can figure out how to score 76, holding LA to 75 will prove to be moot point.

series prices i've been seeing are:

pistons +235
lakers -275

pistons played a good game 1 all things considered...like gary not playing and karl playing like a jackass. I don't think that will happen again. The series is a game of adjustments and the lakers are far from out of this. I DOUBT the pistons will win all their home games.

First of all Kobe shootin' 37% is not decent, thats terrible. Da Lakers woulda had a betta chance if Shaq took 27 shots, cause he shot 81% that game. But anyway da Pistons need to play like they did and not double, let Kobe and Shaq get they 60 points combined and lock evybody else up. If they do this, they got this series wrapped up. I think Lakers will win da next, but I think Pistons can win da whole thang.

The series is easily back to 0-0. No momentum eaither way. Had the Lakers won big in regulation, I'd give you the ol', "The Piston's have awakened the sleeping dragon" sentiment. But, it took an offensive mistake by Detroit AND another unbelievable shot by Kobe - just to throw it into OT.

In your OWN gym.

To have a shot at pulling EVEN.

With an EASTERN CONFERENCE team.

Did I say, "IN YOUR OWN FREAKING GYM"?

Game 3 is going to be very telling for someone. It's my opinion that the rest of the series will steer according to what happens, or rather, what DOES NOT happen in Auburn Hills.

Detroits D is good enough to beat LA but they gotta throw some more points up on the board to win this one and sheed needs to step up and score at least 20 every game
