i played the demo and that shit weak
play the real game. its WAY better than the demo. another thing you should do is learn the control scheme. Especially if you're used to Live its gonna take an adjustment period, but once you know how to play, its ridiculous the amount of control you have and the level of realism. It also helps to have an understanding of basketball to play it. Run some pick n rolls (call for a pick with circle or whatever the equivalent is on 360). The hardest thing for me to learn was the isomotion ball control, but then I've never used it all that well, but the step back dribble damn near guarantees a made shot if you execute it right. The only thing better about Live is the presentation and commentators, but the actual gameplay is unquestionably the best basketball game out there.

u nailed it. the only reason someone would rather play Live is cuz its "easier." 2k9 is FRUSTRATING AS FUCK, but when u start to figure it out, its amazing how much work they appear to have put into it, to make it real. you can ball outta control with the weakest players.

I do play online, shit is sick. When I first played I was like rank 2000 something ... then I started a game against some rank 113 player and I had a 13 point lead all the sudden the connection broke ... I was so pissed!

Only thing is when you start a official ranking game sometimes it takes 3 - 4 times to connect before it goes through.

I still dont get how anybody could get enough games to compete in their week-by-week contest. It takes me a half hour before i get any games. And yeah, i dont understand why there are no lobbies.
