Luckily NBA 2K9 is here to return the series to its once comfortable perch atop the basketball world. While no one will argue that it's a massive overhaul from what we've seen from the series in the past, the additions that have been made advance the gameplay enough to conquer the competition.

NBA 2K9 is basketball game for the purists out there and has plenty for diehard basketball fans to enjoy. There are tidbits built in to appease casual fans, but there’s no question that with things like Bird Years making their way into this year’s game that 2K9 is made for aficionados. Even still, anyone who has seen a pro game will be able to see the similarities and the finite details that make NBA 2K9 the best game in town.

it got a 8.5 outta 10. no reviews for nba live 2009 yet, but I wont be looking forward to it after that review.

ps3 and tryin to dunk with the whole dam warriors team they d up against me great some how i have open lane one second later there is a dude on me and my dudes goes for some fairy hop lay up they blow right by me or i stop them but get called for a foul and then they sink threes like nothin ill be up by like 5 then they go on some 16-4 run

On the Warriors it should be easier to get a dunk in traffic with:

Stephen Jackson

Not so much Monta though. He can dunk, but it's not as easy for him to get one off in traffic. The timing is slightly different than last year in determining when you have an open lane. You'll get used to it. Use turbo plus the shot stick, it makes things little easier.

Once you get accustomed to the slight timing changes, you'll be killin. Trust me

im playin the association and first game i stomp the hornets second game the raptors cant miss a dam shot jose cladron drops like 25 on me hits everything and just keeps goin down hill the teams are shooting like 70% i just got done playin the grizzlies and the shot 70% on me i try to contest a shot and get called for a foul every time they contest my shots and i never get a foul its good that its difficult but dam this game pisses me off right now

When you contest shots try not to be holding turbo, you get called for fouls more because they do that swipe. Also, don't help off of the perimeter guys too much because you will get taxed.

Keep in mind that when you play multiple games, some teams are going to have off games and others aren't. Just like in the real NBA.

ACTUALLY THIS GAME SUCKS, WHY DO THE PLAYERS MOVE SO SLOW, THE CONTROLS ARE FUCKIN WACK THE PLAYER DOES SOMETHING I DON'T WANT HIM TO DO MOST OF THE TIME, YOU TRY TO PRESS FOWARD AND THE PLAYER DOESN'T EVEN MOVE,WHEN A PLAYER CATCHES THE BALL WITH HIS BACK TO THE BASKET IT TAKES HIME LIKE 3 SECONDS TO TURN AROUND, THE CPU IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR 3, SOMEHOW YOU ALWAYS GET BLOCKED, AND THE CREATE A PLAYER IS FUCKIN WACK NBA 2K8 IS WAY BETTER
