I feel what you're saying 45yroldvirgin....I like fast rapping, I just think that too many cats in the midwest try and do it. Half of em can't even rap fast but still do it because thats whats expected out here.
And as far as my artists...they do spit fast, but also spit slow. They know thats there's more to music then wowing people with an ability to rap fast. Cause in the end all fast rapping does is impress people, it doesn't move units.
I can only speak my personal opinion, and I would like to see better "songs" out of the midwest. Not just how fast can I spit for 48 bars. I guess the older I get the less interested I am in fast rapping...lol.
