Red X is a classic in my book, it drops so much knowledge... Peter Tosh before he was killed started recording autobiographical tapes on his philosphies on music, life, religion, gov't, politics and the shitstem, they were found after he was murdered and it mesh's them together w/ historical facts and interviews on his influence, as well as touching all other aspects of his life and the influence he has had, IMO he is a true prophet... check it out, its tough to find but worth the hunt...

LA confidential is a fucking great movie. Just watch it if you haven't already.
True Romance - a lot of people haven't seen this or even heard of it. It's the first movie Quentin Tarantino wrote but Tony Scott directed it, but its still got elements of Tarantino's movies. It's a great movie, my favorite.
Dog Day Afternoon - just saw this the other day, also a great movie, got a young ass Al Pacino in it.
Once Upon a Time in the West - this is in my top 5. It's a Western by Sergio Leone, same guy who made The good the bad and the ugly. Even if you don't like westerns, this movie is just fucking cool.

Check out any of these I promise you won't be dissapointed.
