hip-hop = the streets, the struggle, the voice of the unheard, the havenots. it became the most popular form of music the latter part of teh 20th century and now the 21st century..

this new stuff is not that. people fought for hip-hop. they tried to stop it with stickers and dress codes but couldnt ,they had no control the people it represented did. now in order to control hip hop and maximize its profiting ,mainstream executives are going to only promote what is a bastardization of the art forms we the people invented and love and nurtured from the streets to what it has become...

i hope others can see why people who have lived a lil longer dont agree with the direction it is headed

I know who you are I used to support awol back in the mid 90's when that sound was popping. im not one the tight jean kids that dont know history. My new era hat goes off to you for making some kinda of money off your skills and still being healthy and alive(bc alot of us black males dont make it past 30 or be caged up forever)

I just look at it as these threads are wasting of space bc basedgod still doing his thing. no one on here is gonna stop what all these kids are supporting or being exposed too he about to make crazy money in his music career. also i checked out 4 of basedgods new songs since he the talk of siccness and im not feeling these tracks(especially that goldudst shit). i see theres a song called ellen degeneres too dude just did that so she could possibly mention him on her show for worldwide exposure.

this is a message board and most of us who post here are just using it 4 what its good 4. im thankful 4 the siccness cuz it expands my mind on whats going on inside of the general publics' minds. i am part of that.niggas are not talking about this in the streets,or at least not in a good way.im just speaking my mind becuz although i am in the business,i am also a music fan. i care about the direction of west coast music becuz i am part of the foundation. i share my knowledge becuz a lot of us as artists went thru things some of u could not even fathom. i feel we paved the way 4 what the future brings from our region. in my mind there is reason 2 have concern. when u listen 2 someones music and it gives u a headache or makes u sicc 2 your stomach...i feel it should be addressed. thats realism in my judgement. i care what my children grow up listening 2 becuz i dont want them 2 think its ok 2 be drug addicts or become homosexuals. i may be speaking from a parents' point of view, which doesnt have much jurisdiction on the siccness. but honestly, kids follow fads and trends. i buy my kids' clothes so aint no skinny jeans poppin off until they can buy their own. thats called family integrity from a fathers' perspective. my music life or preference has nothing 2 do with that. lacc of knowledge breeds ignorance. aint nothin funny bout a young man calling himself a pretty bitch. he should be castrated and have his tongue cut off 4 that. people do 2 u what u allow them 2. somebody gotta say something. i wish lil b success in the industry but im on some real life shit. music is normally about expression. some of us still have respect 4 the art of it.100

honestly,i think the younger generation is brainwashed. niggas act like being signed 2 soulja boy is a plus like he has a good history as a businessman or something. i have known hundreds of rappers who have signed 2 another rapper and the success ratio is not high at all. do your homework. since when did fame equal happiness?? in the music biz,the answer is almost never.100

i see alot of people hating on lil B cuz they dont like what he says and does but everything is nonsense. u cant tell people whats ok and not ok to do or like, this is directed at people in general. in the 90's my family didnt understand why i would wear baggy clothes, bump mobb music and smoke tree and get drunk with my friends but that was the norm back then, the older generation didnt agree but they had to live with it, because u cant stop change..

same thing is happening now, older rappers, also salty rappers and rappers who cant believe lil b is blowing up while they arent getting nowhere are hating furiously. mainly because they dont like what he is doing, dont like his methods.....but its the same thing as killa tay droppin mr. mafioso back in the day. Tay, do u think my mexican mom and filipino dad wanted to hear me listening to agent "187" while i was getting ready to go to school???

the same way u dont want your kids slappin "like a martian" when they wake up.

but lets not be hypocrites, tay specifically your music got me yelled at by my folks before but i didnt care because i was feeling it, i was on my hype.

the younger generation now, they are diff from my generation, as is the case every decade, the times change and the cycle continues. how much time can we waste worrying and being scared about this kind of stuff??

finally one more thing @Killa Tay. i dont get how you can talk about your religion, talk about being a good parent and all that, then talk about ripping someones tongue out and stomping their head in because they say something that you dont like or agree with, but whatever man thats you.

here we go.@BOLO- first of all, unless u know my religion or beliefs, why would u even speak on what i say or feel. but since u wanna go there, do u feel just becuz people commit acts of violence, they are hypocritical or cant believe in GOD also? answer that one and then tell me why people go 2 iraq and kill innocent people and then come bacc 2 america and go 2 church and be treated as heroes? i dont think u want 2 go there with me. i am a product of my environment just like everyone else. the difference is i was raised in a religious household and have a lot of spiritual knowledge.u might not know that if u judge ne by my music or siccness posts....lol. being in the streets was a personal outlet 4 me and thanks 2 my God im blessed enough 2 be here 2 talk about it 2day. i grew up in a gamg infested neighborhood. i was shot in a drive-by at 11 yrs old. that is what turned an innocent church going child into the rapper u know as KILLA TAY. what about u?

ouch....

what can i say moeses aint a fan...thanks for google searching me..

aint all rappers hip-hop? and im a "hip-hop rapper" because of the 1 song you heard?? listen here : www.myspace.com/ecosemusic and really get in to the awfulness that is my music

anyway.. im not saying anything but this" what lil b is representing in his lyrics is on sum faggot shit. and i cant endorse that..i dont wanna see kids influenced on that type of hype.. but i dont care enough to make a diss song/thread or dissect his shit.. i just raise my kids as i see fit. and try to maybe say a few positive things.

you can turn around and say sum shit about me thats your opinion... i dont care enough to listen to your shit just so i can critique it so i can come back and say oh you suck.. what for??? i aint here to throw jabs at rappers im just keeping it real.. as im sure you do..
