I know imma get shit for this lolol but I love my audiobahns homie. I wouldnt trade them for kicker. I have the aw1200Q subs. Its on you though do what you want. I think I like mine so much cause I ran them at 1ohm stable after running them at 4ohm for like 2 years and wow what a different a 1ohm stable mono load makes. They hit hard as fuck!
I GOT THESE DOO-DOO ASS AW1251SE SUBS IN A BANDPASS, I DONT KNOW HOW THEYRE WIRED, BEST BUY DID IT. well your first mistake was having best buy do your install. This is a company that belives tuning an amp involves turning the volume down and then tuning the gains then turning it back up and seeing how it sounds then repeating that process instead of havin the subs blastin then do your adjustments.

Seems JL Audio is a mid range brand as well. If i wanted top of the line it would be brands like Focal Audio and Diamond Audio.
I tried man...I tried. I saw the post...wasn't gonna say anything, but I just couldn't let the Audiobahn talk continue.
As for JL Audio...I ain't a big fan of them either, especially for the price. Everyone has 'em, but I really don't think they're that great.
You know those stickers that have Calvin pissin' on Ford or Chevy...I was gonna have one pissin' on JL Audio...that's pretty much what I think of them.
Focal and DA are good.
You should also check out Image Dynamics (very nice), my Eclipse of course, Memphis, Resonant Engineering, OZ Audio, Adire Audio...just to name a few.
All of these make some pretty good subs.

My friend has 3 of the Image Dynamics (IDMAX) 12's...and those things are freakin' LOUD. I'm really impressed with these subs.
I really like my Eclipse too.
But I have been hearing alot of good things about the other brands too.
Adire Audio looks like they have some Monsters though. I might look into these.

Amp and Sub Comparison... both Polk/Momo amp and sub. (solid gear for a beginner)
A few notes... I normally wouldn't go with Hifonics but this amp really makes it all slam, doesn't get too hot, or pull too much current. But I have upgraded all my electrical system so it's no thing anyways.
As for the brains to the system it's an Alpine 9831... gets the job done and looks clean. Oh yea... spent so much time and money sound deadening... my car doesn't fuckin rattle like some shit you hear... bottom line is if you are going to spend money on this shit... do it right and don't fuck around.
