hip hop aint dead, never has died and never will...
cuz hip hop is what you make it.. that whats so good about hip hop is theres something for every one... whether it be dancing, club, killin, gang related, girls what ever the case be
theres hip hop for everyone...
hip hop is about expressing yourself
if i recall when hip hop first came out it was dancing, graffiti, and fuck the police, it had no certain label telling it what to be and not to be and you didn't have to be from the hood to know hip hop or spit hip hop rhymes

soo plz think before you say hip hop is dead... just cause all the rappers and certain type of hip hop that you like aint flooding the radio don't mean its dead

and i guarantee you that if the hip hop you like flooded the mainstream and was on radio you wouldn't like it and you would be saying the same thing like it all sounds the same

i think that its great if people can make money of quick catchy dance rhymes cause then the kids are wanting to get involved in to other things like dancing and stuff
instead of selling dope, or killing

agree with pretty much everything besides they part where u said if the music i like was on the radio, i wouldnt like it. I love the music I listen to, dont matter if its on the radio or not, i love it bc the way it sounds of course, so imma like it no matter what. but you pretty much right, i just wish the music i liked, more ppl could hear it and no about it.

And Tech will never be mainstream. He doesn't fit in with it, period. Despite the fact that I feel that he is the most talented rapper to ever live, it doesn't matter. Mainstream music is just not tech, his flow, style, content and most importantly his attitude are way to revolutionary to be forced to conform with w/e criteria mainstream music requires. His fan base consists primarily of depressed white kids, why? Because Tech is an outcast, just like us. You might not concsioucly know it but Techs style, or flavor if you will is very unique and masterful. And not every one has the same tastes. Despite this fact his lyrics and content often are laced with undertones of depression or bottled up anger. People who are less familiar with these feelings (Depression, Anger, Resentment towards society {Mainstream}) are for the most part desensitized to this fact and are able to appreciate his music for the amount of sheer talent that is involved. In fact, many of you are probably blind to the fact that tech's music is riddled with negative energy, why? because you are so used to these negative emotions you feel that is just the way life is. I love tech's music, and i am not bashing any one on here, i am simply stating facts. My life was filled with negativity and depression for many years... And now that i am finally starting to get over that bullshit i can recognize some of the... quirks in techs music.

So is Tech the most talented rapper? yes of course. Does that mean he will be recognized by the music industry, or society as a whole? No it does not.

I am going to make a new thread to discuss this, instead of further contributing to this repeat "OMFG TECH NOT MAINSTREAM" thread

and im sure the soulja boys fans, and dancers and krumpers can say the same about gangster rap and any other type of rap

everyone feels like the type of hip hop they listen to is the right one
And is the best, and if another type is on top then the type they like aint getting what they deserve

cant say they arent talentless cause they good at making dances and dance songs thats what there good at so why not make money off of it..
they may love dancing and put hard work into what they do and make

(also kids today are likening the catchy hooks & dances.. hip hop has reached real young audiences also, which real young kids are not likely to hop on some dl site and download an album.. there most likely to tell there parents to buy the album as where of more mature people are downloading music thus decreasing the sales in what type of music/ genre they are downloading)

thats why R&b is winning in sales right now cause its not really females and kids downloading music its more mature males then anyone else
