my instincts tell me i shouldn't like rick ross music but

ross is dope, he makes damn good solid albums. his rhymes are on point and he has an excellent ear for production on his albums. fuck the c.o talk. if we shouldnt listen to him because he denied it at first or because he was a c.o for several months etc.. then ,maybe we shouldn't listen to like 99% of the rap industry because everyone is a fake and tells lies riiight? like our favorite rappers are suppose to be super real gangsters that live what they rap.... who gives a damn about someones personal life, its ALL about the music. if its dope, bang it and enjoy it.
Since Ross dropped "Mafia Music", his shit has been on a completely different level. You gotta give him daps for improving every album....How many artists can you say that about? He keeps it movin with the times....He has bodied every one of his features in recent months........

I use The Source's rating system and say Ross is nothing more than a 3 mic rapper at best. His content is shallow, his rhymes are predictable and his past is questionable.
You ever sit around and have to question the legitimacy of Nas? Fuck no and if you do, slap yourself.. HARD!
The only thing that's "mildly appealing" concerning Rick Ross is his beat selections and his catchy choruses. I didn't even know who made "Hustlin'" but I liked the beat and the hook was infectious. So don't feel like you have to explain why you like "semi-wack" music. It's all ggod. We all know the lyrics to "Bust A Move" by Young MC and "Too Legit To Quit" by MC Hammer.. It happens.. We get fed so much bullshit, we begin to "like" the taste and smell.
Go listen to Wu-Tang or Ice Cube and shake it off.

go ahead and bump his shit....people always need validation, rap is just showmanship, put it in the same category as movies. when you're watching an action movie do you feel that the actor has to live his character in order to enjoy it? fuck it, i stopped caring about whos real and whos this and that....music is music.
