Hell naw, that ain't big at all! You Bay Area niggas got low expectations. I'm extremely dissapointed. They promoted the hell out of this album/movement and no one bought into the gimmick. 93,000 is a flop! 40 ain't Independent no more, Yayo and Fat Joe did better numbers than that. This is actually bad for a mainstream album. btw, where is your source??
what was the last west coast album to do those numbers first week? besides game. thats what i thought....

This is a flop i know everybody too proud to admit it or just now knowing what is considered a flop... but 95k first week with all the exposure and all the promo and a huge single is considered a FLOP..

There ya'll go again with the low expectations.. We ain't did no number coz we were local, Bay Area only and 40 still managed to sell 41K on his last album.. Now he has a mainstream video, constant shows, commercials, posters, ads, a major lable behind him, a movement behind him, and a hit single but still can't do 100,000. Please. You can't compare, everything before that was underground so you'd expect to do better. Imo opinion it should of sold twice as much, this is a flop, no matter if ya'll wanna admit it or not.
youre trippin. 40 is an OLD artist, the single isn't a #1 hit or anything, and the video wasn't in rotation on BET until last week. not to mention the vast amount of east coast hate he gets he wasnt gonna sell 200k first week. lil jon knows this, and he knows the way this album is gonna sell is over a few months with good singles and good ONGOING promotion. look at chamillionaires album, he sold like 115 first week and now is probably gonna go plat.

That last part is true i hope they push his next singles as hard as tell me when to go.. but still 95k first week is really dissapointing...

That's what I thought. But hey, if fans are happy with that number, so be it.
his last album sold FORTY THOUSAND first week...so he doubled that and added 13,000, thats alot. nobody is debuting any higher than 100k unless they already have a huge fanbase...see juvenile. its just the state of the record industry. D4lL had a number one single and didnt push more than 40k first week...but they keep sellin that much. sustained sales are the key, if 40 drops to 20k next week then it IS a flop

you obviously dont know anything about the current climate of the record business or having a rap record that the only black tv station in the country was not supporting until last week. go read a book and get some industry game.

best bay debut is hella long, I bet it had a better week than Smokin Nephiew did. What you expect for 40 to debut and go gold or platinum in the first week? Comon now, give the shit a little time I bet it will go gold.

95k first week IS NOT bad by our standards because we aint used to sellin that many units out of the bay. But all the money and time that was put behind 40? I REALLY did expect it to break 100k its first week.

Rapper E-40 earns his first top 10 on the big chart in a decade as "My Ghetto Report Card" bows at No. 3. The Sick Wid' It/BME release moved 94,000 copies and is also the Bay Area rapper's first No. 1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. His 1996 set "Tha Hall of Game" was his last album to score a top tier position, moving 123,000 copies in its first week to land at No. 4.

10 years ago since he sold over 100k first week! and he comes back to sell 95k first week. not many artists can do that, ever

Not a flop at all considering he did 50K first week last album and he definitely hasnt pulled out all of the stops yet.

40 still got some tricks up his sleeve and so does BME/Warner. Please believe that the first week doesn't decide everything.
