I wouldn't be able to make it... lack of funds on hand. In the brief time that I watched the news about the problem in New Orleans I saw helicopters evacuating people, but one thing I never saw was a single boat. I understand that boats were probably destroyed during the storm, but I didn't understand why they were flying helicopters over to rooftops sticking out of the water, and then loading up one person at a time. I guess the water was full of chemicals and bacteria, but when people are waiting on thier roofs at water level, I figure a boat would be a logical means of transportation throughout that area.
