I will be wanting an album cover next month and will be payin $$$ for it but I need to ask some questions first:

1. Are you just making the front cover or are yall able to make the entire jacket?

2. Is thare anything that "I" can do to make it easier for you to make the cover? *Any Tips*?

3. How do you put the cover together? Take it to kinko's? ...lol...

I think most are willing to make the booklet and tray card...

Take good pictures of what you want on the cover, the least amount of low quality pictures that're used the better it'll look

3. How do you put the cover together? Take it to kinko's? ...lol...
You could, but there is probably better places to go, I got back to school the 2nd of Jan. so I can ask my teacher where she'd suggest (I go to Clover Park Tech) and get back to you on it if you want...

in reference 2 #3.........
u normally get ur covers printed the same place
u have the CDs manufactured....
they will do all the cutting, folding & stuffing n2 the jewel case
that needs 2 be done, u will get the CDs bac
shrink-wrapped already put 2gether.....
unless u wanted 2 do it as a seperate step?

and juss so u guys know:
KINKOS has never printed anything n their xistance...
(sure they have comps u can rent time on & print,
but theyre laserjet or sum other kinda printer meant 4 home
& small business, they dont have any presses
u could actually use 4 quality print work)
they COPY a buncha shit tho

1.I strongly believe that all us artists are willing to give you the whole package including booklet,tray card,and back cover...
2.Take close up pics as well as full body pics...Its not about the kind of camera you use but its how you use it..Good lighting and positioning of the camera etc.
3.Peep this link on how to put the whole concept in order http://www.discmakers.com (Gate also gave good info on printing &kinkos.....
kINKOS is mostly for small businesses..They dont really print in large volumes...They probably can but it'll cost you a grip.......

Damn well thanks for all of the info, I'm lookin to have it ready by January/February for promotional use my album wont be finished until Arpril/May but I want to have all of my stuff ready and pre-pared and start advertising myself as "comming soon".

I will take different types of pictures with different types of cameras and in different light settings...close ups and body shots to make it easier for you.

@Thug-C, is thare any way I can see some of your work?
@ConnDemmed, you goto school 5 blocks from my house so you and I can definetly work on something, if not my album cover then maybe some flyers or somthing!

Yeah I'm serious.....I'm gonna take some pics and post them up in about 2 weeks and hold a contest like Krime did (yes Im a copy cat) but that way I can have something to choose from........I basically just wanted to know what I needed to do to make it easier for the artist to create my cover! Plus I don't even have an idea of what I want yet! Keep a look out I will be postin pics give me a week or two!
