this movie looks tight...

Plot Summary


"Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel, "300" concerns the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world's first democracy."


and i was reading on some other place..that this is based on fact...not really sure about it though...

that 500 Spartans held off between 250,000 and 1,000,000 Persians at Thermopylae, For three days.... amazing

The Battle of Thermopylae ends in victory for the Persians under Xerxes. His army of nearly 200,000 engulfs a force of 300 Spartans and 700 Boeotians under the Spartan King, Leonidas I. The Greeks under Leonidas resist the advance through Thermopylae of Xerxes' vast army. For two days Leonidas withstands the Persian attacks; he then orders most of his troops to retreat, and he and his 300-member royal guard fight to the last man.

looks like a fucking video game...Movies done entirely infront of a green screen look fake as fuck imo (with the exception of The Matrix) lol


Then again I've just seen the trailer....I'll judge it when I see the flick
