The San Antonio Spurs have been pursuing free agent center Alonzo Mourning, but Mourning is expected to return to the Heat next season, according to a report in The San Antonio Express-News.
Agent Jeff Wechsler said Sunday that Mourning has not decided whether to play next season but will make a decision soon.
''A number of teams have contacted us,'' Wechsler said. ''I've listened to all the offers.'' When asked whether Mourning would consider playing for another team, Wechsler said, ``I haven't asked him that question.''
The Heat has said it will not use its $5 million salary cap exception, which means Mourning would be offered only the $1.1 million veteran's minimum. The Spurs reportedly were offering a two-year deal for all or part of the mid-level exception.
Mourning averaged 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game with the Heat this season
