yeah, but we're not really suffering.....I mean, our football teams have been playing like shit, but this is the first year in a while that the A's missed the playoffs....the giants were just in the world series a few years back.....the warriors just ended their playoff drought.....and the sharks are almost always in the playoffs......I think....i don't pay attention to hockey.....

atlanta is one of the worst. besides the 95 series what atlanta pro sports team has done shit? even the college teams are meddled in mediocrity most years. you cant be serious to say that the bay area teams have it worst. the 9ers are one of the most storied franchises in football. the giants and a's also had pretty good runs in their days.

the braves falcons hawks are hands down some of the worst teams in the history of professional sports. they lost an nhl franchise quite some time ago only to get one back recently. it doesnt help that atlanta is sort of a melting pot city. the fan base is the worst in pro sports hands down. there is no worse city. what other team in major league baseball has problems selling out playoff games??? most fans in atlanta migrated from other cities its pathetic.

Hmm...not a city, but what about Minnesota?

Or Philadelphia...currently.

Or, although traditionally it's not a ''sports city''...what about Las Vegas. Perfect spot for a franchise...and no teams.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

LOL

Minnesota hands down. Vikings made it to 4 super bowls and never won. Timberwolves have never made it to the finals, the only bright spot was the twins in the early 90's.

Cleveland's had it pretty bad..

Browns? 0 superbowls. One of six to never play in the Superbowl. Plus they got there team stolen away from them and replaced with an expansion team and had to completely rebuild, while there former team won a superbowl in Baltimore.

Cavs? Zero NBA Titles. Didn't even make the NBA Finals until last year.

Indians. Haven't won a world series title since 1948. And that is the last championship a major pro sports team in Cleveland has won. In 1997, they were close, two outs away, and ended up losing to the Marlins.

To me, its a no-brainer, and the Cleveland fans have had it very rough.

Philadelphia is second.

The results are pretty much what I expected, people hit on a few of the big ones, a lot of people just basically "repped" their own region.

I like to answer questions using hard data but flexible definitions. There are a lot of different ways you could answer this, here are six that I could think of, and the data supporting each for 3-sport cities. 2-sport cities such as San Diego and New Orleans would rank very high (or low, depending on what you want to call it) in this analysis as neither of them has a championship, but who knows what could've happened if they had a 3rd.

The time frame is 1966-Present, because the Super Bowl as we know it today where there was really one football champion, rather than an NFL and AFL.
