this is very true. and this is whats wrong with black america. this stuff affects us all. somebody hang a noose in a high school in my city. just because it didn't happen to you directly don't mean it ain't your fight. if this was your cousin, or even you, you would want people to have your back.

fuck it, its just some dumb shit to piss people off, the reason there is more attention on blacks for doing wrong is that when whites get pissed, they hang nooses, when blacks get pissed, they gang jump someone, violence vs lack of violence, when there is that factor, the violence will always be looked at as the worse of the two scenarios. and people already calling it a fight, why use a violent word for it, shit, its a big cycle that isnt going anywhere
Mos Def = Crybaby. Not because of this. Because all he wants to do is seperate himself from white people so he in fact creates the barrier. In order for humanity to co-exist then one mus be able to embrace all instead of just themselves. Mos Def is selfish in this regard. I do not care for his music or his message. Although his song on the Blade II soundtrack is worth note. I do not hate this guy I just do not think he is worth listening to.

I applaud Mos Def for his statements, passion, and sincerity about being upset about the lack of support from the Hip-Hop community for the Jena 6. Rappers are just like drug dealers, selfish, bloodsuckers. Anybody that can't relate to Mos's feelings about people he personally contacted about supporting the Jena 6, probably can't relate to why some black people celebrated when O.J. beat his murder case.
the image of a rapper is one thing, but racism in america is another. they should have all gone cuz these rappers with "gangster" images also speak on racism and class seperation in america. i'm mexican str8 up, but any form of racism affects america as a whole, so mos def is 100% correct in lettin rappers like kanye know what time it is.
Think about what would have happened if nobody woulda marched or protested, or we wouldn't have found out? If they can get away with shit like this what makes u think that they won't try it again? I know there's alot of undocumented or unheard of cases like this, but we have to start somewhere. We can't just sit here while they sentence us to life, while white people who do the same thing get off with a pat on the wrist.
