Another part of the problems is, the bay artist with talent, will whore there verses out to anybody.
i feel you on this.. i mean i'm not against giving new artists a chance, but when i hear all these random no-body rappers with talented bay artists on the feature(for ex. such as san quinn, the jacka, ya boy, etc.) i usually pass on the song..

... I HAD A GANG OF FEATURES ON "FEET TO THE STREET" BUT IT WAS BECAUSE I FELT I COULD HOLD MY OWN WITH THEM AND THEY WHERE ALL FOLKS I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO MUSIC WITH... PROOFS IN THE MUSIC... NOW THAT I FEEL LIKE NIGGAS KNO HOW I ROCK IM TAKIN A WAY DIFFERENT APPROACH ON "CUBAN CONNECT" WAY LESS RAPPERS WAY MORE SINGERS... CUZ SHIT I CANT SING!

THE WHOLE GOAL FOR ME WAS TO GET TO THE POINT WHERE NIGGAS WANNA ROCK WITH ME OUTTA MUTUAL RESPECT FOR MY MOVEMENT MY MUSIC AND MY CHARACTER YAHEARD!!

Lets face the truth. Rappin' isn't hard. Some are doper than others. Its not exclusive like it once was. Anybody can do it, hence the reason why everybody is. Some are investing stacks working with an old formula locally, While some young cat is doing it self contained pushing a solid line globally for nothing. Business separates rappers more than talent. Its who you know, its what you bring to the table bottom line. Mark my words. Your about to witness a lot of your favorite rappers ribs in the next 5 years. This is by no means negative. Its realistic. Have fun with it but don't depend on it. If your 30+ years old without a back up plan that pays well your losing. I'm a smart dude. I make a nice amount of bread legit. Business first. Until you fully figure out this new formula, Your really shouldn't fuck with it.

rapping isnt hard. its just that when you got 1 talented rapper that "gets fame", he'll put his entire hood on his projects. even if they suck, theyll try to make it sound as good as possible by using good beats/production. if that 1 talented rapper doesnt put his folks on, he becomes isolated, banned from his hood, and loses street cred. who wants to listen to a rapper w/o street cred?
