Whoever is acting like this game will be an easy win - don't be dumb.
The Niners and Cardinals match up well against each other. These games are normally close and I don't expect this one to be any different. I don't care how good the Cardinals have been playing, the game will likely be close and if you say otherwise you're either hating or you haven't seen these two teams play each other the past 4 years. Do I think we'll win? Probably not. Do I think we CAN win? Sure.
This team normally kills itself with dumb turnovers. Being that most of those turnovers were JTO's fault, I don't think we'll see as many in this game. Shaun Hill may not be the "savior" or QB of the future for us, but he manages the game well and he does not turn the ball over like JTO did. Hill goes thru his reads and doesn't try to force the ball down the field like O'Sullivan did. He hits his checkdown receivers when the intermediate-to-long options are not OPEN, JTO very rarely did so. Anybody about to come in here and say that Shaun Hill can't throw deep, just save it. I can throw the ball over 60 yards and I'm not an NFL QB. I've also witnessed, with my own eyes, Hill throwing 50+ yards to receivers at training camp without any problems. Hill may not have a cannon arm and he may not be able to throw the ball 80 yards on his knees, but you've got to be kidding me if you truly believe he CAN'T throw it deep. Expect Frank Gore to see more touches the rest of the season, not only rushing but receiving. Vernon Davis will likely be a frequent checkdown option as well. We may not have as many big plays, but this offense under Hill should eat up more clock and have much more ball security.
