I think number 1 was liked so much because the production was so different then what people usually hear. Nick Peace and the whole Million Dollar Dream camp got a completely different sound then anyone.

Naw. I think it was the hype surronding The Jacka & Husalah at the time that it dropped. Everybody was just finding out about the Mob Figaz (especially The Jacka & Husalah).

cosign

They droppin' way too many albums for all of them to be tight..

How many albums do they release each year? 10-15 in different combinations (AP-9 + Husalah, Rydah + Fed-X, AP-9 + Fed-X, etc.). How long does it take to record one of them? If it's about a month, no wonder some of them are not that good....

Yah that production was on point to me. It's definetly one of my favorite CD's of all time, I donno if it is one of the best, but its one of my favorites for sure. I like everything about it the beats, lyrics, content, originality..fuck i gotta bump it right now. Hopefully the sequels r as sick
