Minor in Possession in San Diego

There are two scenerios
1. If your boy is 6 months from 21 he gets a free pass. Not really sure why but thats how San Diego does it.
2. He will probably goto court to plead guilty/not guilty. I would reccomend pleading no contest, which is basically the same as saying guilty without all the admission. They will likely fine him and make him pay for court papers. There is a possibility he will be sent to a diversion program (ie classes to tell him hes bad) but they didnt do that for me. They will likely suspend his liscense but he can claim hardship and say he needs his car for work/school and he will be allowed to drive but there will be a designation when he is pulled over. If you get caught with a designation you get into bigger problems.
So be more careful at SDSU or the Beach when your drinking your beer. Cops out there are assholes. Its really too bad because most of the people there are really cool. Its always been my opinion San Diego just needs a good riot to put the police in there place, so...hopefully soon.
