Anyone else into this stuff? I find it really relaxing and it's good for when you are just trying to chill, read a good book, background music while relaxing or trying to sleep.

Here, as usual, is a wiki link about the genre

Here are some great albums to check out that I jacked links for.

Robin Guthrie & Harold Budd - After The Night Falls

Robin Guthrie & Harold Budd - Before The Day Breaks

These two albums are so fucking good. As is everything I've heard by Harold Budd thus far. Some of you might now Robin Guthrie as a member of the dream pop/ambeint band Cocteau Twins. This stuff is awesome, if doesn't relax you then nothing will.

Now these albums are really fucking cool. Here is a little about what they are all about.

[The recordings are based on old tapeloops which had degraded in quality. While attempting to salvage the recordings in a digital format, the tapes slowly crumbled and left a timestamp history of their demise/QUOTE]

Sorry that they are megaupload links. I recommened getting II and III the most but they are all amazing. All of William Basinksi's stuff is great too but these are something else.

William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops I

William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops II

William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops III
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CX3K0RJX

William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops IV
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ACIANSS2

Those are two great artists to start with. If any one replies/likes this stuff let me know and I'll post up more.

People that like ambient/dream pop/shoegaze/blah blah blah will more then likely love this type of stuff.
