Anyone else realize that Margarito isn't even licensed anywhere other than Texas? What are the odds he even gets licensed somewhere. He made the joke out of the hand wraps thing on 24/7. If Arum couldn't get him licensed in Vegas with their staggered economy and his pull in that city, I'm not optimistic he gets a license this go round either

RSR was just informed that WBA Light Middleweight Champion, Miguel Cotto, 36-2, 29 KO’s, will be facing off against Antonio Margarito, 38-7, 27 KO’s, in a rematch of a bout he lost in 2008. The bout will be on pay per view and will take place in New Jersey and has been set for September 17th.
Cotto is coming off of his 12th round stoppage of Ricardo Mayorga, and has gone 4-1, 3 KO’s, since his defeat to Margarito. His only defeat was a spirited effort, losing a final round stoppage at the hands of Manny Pacquiao. Margarito is 2-2, 1 KO, in his last four fights, but there is a world of controversy surrounding his career, all stemming from a loss in 2009 at the hands of Shane Mosley.

IF that's true, it sucks the rematch is off. I wanted Cotto to get revenge. And two, cotto at 160 pounds is absurd. However, I think he could still probably whoop chavez jr.

Cotto-Margarito II: Fight Back On? 10/1 and 12/3 on Hold

After all looked lost, we could see a rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito in 2011. According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, Margarito has undergone cataract surgery to repair what was considered a career-threatening injury to his right eye, which he suffered during last November's decision loss to Manny Pacquiao.
Margarito's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, told the paper that his boxer is scheduled to receive final clearance in two weeks to begin sparring around July 1, and Arum has two dates on hold for a possible pay-per-view rematch with Cotto - Oct. 1 and Dec. 3. Margarito expects that he'll be ready to fight Cotto by the end of the year.
"I'm not closing the door on [fighting] this year," Margarito told The Times. "Without a doubt, I believe I'm ready to fight someone like him. I'll fight anyone as soon as the doctor says it's OK to fight."
Margarito handed Cotto the first loss of his career with an eleven round TKO in July of 2008.

I think margarito is going to get fucked up permanently, I think they are rushing, he has a couple very serous injuries and need a lot of time to heal. I bet Garcia stops the fight this time around.
The only thing I don't like about this is cotto will be sitting out for a while...Oct or Dec? That's a long time to sit. Cotto should fight someone beforehand.
