i think the difference between what some of us said about the flyer and what Q said is that we gave our OPINION about what we felt could be done to improve the flyer...where as to qwasian ...he pretty much said C-4 was wrong in how he designed it

any artist can use help/be corrected. if someone comes to me with legitimate criticizm I look at what they say, think about if it's right or wrong and then go from that point. the kinda feedback people often give me is "the pictures are bad quality" or "too much bling/lens flare effects on the text"......
however you see when I did my own cover, it was no blingy text, and the pic quality was much better..... so in my opinion people should understand that I know what i'm doing already I've been designing for years, if I have a bad quality pic on a joint it's because people gave it to me that way, it's no point in giving stupid feedback, give something productive, i'm not a beginner designer.
like when the d00d cheeto said I look like I took my own pics on the cover of myself, I thought, yes he is correct I did take the pics, that's good feedback criticizm, I also felt like? it was kinda obvious that I did and he should have understood that at the same time? like it really didn't have shit to do with the cover, but I respected it and would improve upon that next time.
the bottom line is, I've been designing for a long long time, and that flyer is wrong...... of course in art you can do whatever the fuck you want, but it's just wrong, the white fades out into the sky as an outline, you don't outline text like that, it's not the correct way to do it. and it's really that simple. if you look up art guidelines to outlining text you go dark to light, light to dark, and that shit is incorrect, PERIOD. he also mixed & matched a grunge font with a regular font, another stupid move as far as design goes. of course hiphop fans don't know shit about design in the first place so it doesn't really matter.
do I care about the quality of my work, absolutely...... as i'm proud of my own cover I just designed, I like that one....
do I care about the quality of work on someone else cd that doesnt' provide me with the proper materials to design the shit and needs it in a few hours?
yes, I do, but I do the best I can, that's what i'm paid to do.... you have to understand the full situation in order to look at a joint and see whats good....
if I designed it and it looks like some bullshit, then u already know it was for the money, so you should critique it in that manner....
