you were naming names, so I named names.... I used to work promo for universal records homey, so names/clients is not a thing...... I designed with more rappers than I can name, universal to koch the list goes on & on.....
the whole point is, none of it means anything, it's about paper.... because your designing shit that has no stay power anyway. this shit is a hustle, and you gassed yourself up like you were somebody forreal.
so while you say you don't cut ya computer on for $65, I don't either dumb ass, cuz when I turn my computer on I make several thousand a week, it's not like i'm cutting my shit on for one job.... but I see how low your client list is, I believe you told on yourself......

Bro, give it up already. You carry your self like a child bragging on the internet about how much money you make and what kind of car you drive and where you live, but people that are really ballin' and making money don't brag on the internet about it. The fact is you do design a large quantity of mix tape covers, but your quality of work is garbage. C-4 may not design as many cd covers as you, but his quality of work is very professional and not even comparable to yours, and he actually designs "cd covers" that are in retail stores nationwide, not mix tape covers for free download on websites, lol....
I have designed several cd/dvd covers that were nationally distributed every single year since i've been designing full time.
if I only did 10-20 cd covers a year like this d00d I could work really hard on them and be broke too........ why the fuck would I want to?
i'd rather do 4-5 a day, and make plenty of money....... because in the end nobody is going to remember either one of us as a great designer, so whats the point?
the only thing that matters is good business & money unless your building up some type of great name such as pen & pixel.. and we see where they ended up......
you know most of the designers that work really hard at design get burnt the fuck out because they approach the design game as a hobby instead of a business......
how many designers have you seen come & go that work really hard to create top notch designs? or just designers in general really? almost none of them have the business mind to have any longevity.
u see how this guy comes & goes with his designs.... that's because he works too hard for the amount of money he's making..... it doesn't make sense.....
if someone come's to me and wants full photoshoot, I can do all that too, but I charge way more.
I have had customers that did flyers, cd covers, single covers, life sized posters, vehicle wraps, business cards, t-shirts, and the whole 9..... just on customer/company gets the works, and I did the photography......
u have to approach each client different and understand what the business requires..... it's a business not a hobby.... and if you want to approach it as a hobby or think your going to be some great designer, that's cool, but your wasting your time & energy.....

if i was an artist and needed covers/posters/flyers id go with C-4. dudes work is more professional. it looks cleaner all around. yes @ had some nice covers that he posted in this thread. 2 that i liked. others were average artwork. C-4 just has better look on his covers.

what you don't realize is that people aren't paying the prices to get good work, it's really just that simple...... the faster you understand that, the better off you gonna be......
if c-4 gets 1 or 2 extra clients? what the fuck does that really even mean? half the time he's so burnt out he won't even do ya cover...... so fuck with him if you want, u might end up waiting on that bitch forever.......
it's all different aspects to design, and being a designer, just cuz a few customers do this or that, you gotta think about the bigger picture, and what is going to work best overall....... 4 customers might use c-4, however I get 4-6 customers a day.... so the customers he would get don't effect me.....
and I didn't say I drive a car or have a nice house to say that they make or break me, it's just proof that stupid muthafuckaz don't know what they doing when it comes to doing graphics as a business........
alot of people love certain designers, but try to use them and watch your ass wait a month for a cover...... if you wanna pay me $200 and wait a month for your cover, I gaurantee I smash that shit. 100%......... but in the meantime i'm going to do these 20 camera phone pic jobs that I have on the side & collect that money also.......
