the artist is Payaso... he is a Sureno. He is CEO of Teen Angels Records and Latin Rap Magazine... 90% of Sureno rap isnt even about gangbanging... its about kickin it... being mexican... gettin high or drunk or both... bangin beezies and just livin life... maybe one out of every 50 songs is a bangin song...
which sureno rap you referring to? cuz i have close to 1 or 2 thousand sureno rap albums and very seldomly do they rap about bangin... unless its Southland Records or HI Power Ent. and even then... Mr. Capone-e of hi power has began to get his label more on a main stream level... he has since signed rapper Bizzy Bone and Lazie Bone to hi power for at least one album each... also Mr. Capone-e has done songs with Zapp and Nate Dogg... he currently has a new single out with Twista... Mr. Criminal of Hi-Power has just began workin with Lil Flip...
yes i know all about hi power getting more mainstream which is good. i got all of criminals albums. alot of the comps and some capone e. cds by mr. silent, malow mac, lokote, stomper, soldier inc and scrappy loco.
ever since the Low Profile records restructure, Royal T is moving a different direction with the label. Mr. Sancho writes most of the lyrics for Low Profile artists and Mr. Sancho is more known for his "NB Ryder" style of rapping... most of the new cds comin out of Low Profile are a bunch of love songs and "on a sunday afternoon" type songs... its safe to say sureno rappers have began to realize that there is no money in rappin about gangbangin and their click because its only gonna grab the attention of a select few... by rapping about everything else, they are opening opportunities to be seen by others and hopefully get their chance to blow up... prime example is Lil Rob... his video Summer Nights had been on MTV already... he is from San Diego and is a sureno also...

yea hi power is on da step up... i think Mr. Criminal is their best rapper... i think him and Mistah F.A.B. would have a good ass battle... lol... but Criminal raps really hard and his flows are tyte as hell...

listen to criminal rap he is not the good. prolly most overrated on hi power. fab most overrated in the bay....dont get me started on "mr. freestyle king"
yea i agree with your statement about Hi-Power... their beats are pretty repetitive and they are gonna be making some changes to that in the near future... i think Silencer of LowPro is the oldie remake king... Mr. Sancho number 2... And if Dyablo could rap in English... man he would be UNFUCKWIDABLE!
lol but the track was good though right? while listening to it the first time i got chills... the last thing i was thinkin bout was sureno or norteno ish... peep this track out...
come on now Sureno rap is weak as fuck. I call it flea market rap LOL. Its funny how fools up in the North be claiming Sureno but a majority of them are fake as fuck not even from the southlands. And if they are they ran away from there hoods. Yeah some of them are down but there still fake wannabes. They watch a movie and think all of a sudden there a sureno. I don't gang bang but nothern rap shits on southern rappers period.
Its already been done when cisco the Frisco Mac was fuckin with Kid Frost. They both supposably "don't bang", and they're from each corner of cali, but don't know if the collaboration sold much units. I don't want to speak on it without the actual facts.......Maybe someone has them.
I think it would be a good look for latinos from So.Cal and the Bay to put down some music together. The homie Cio Castaneda from San Mateo just recently got Don Cisco on a song for a compilation he is working on. Cisco is from the Bay but works out of LA now.
