I like this song... coulda been way tighter I think, but I like Marv's ability to speak on the real situation in the ghetto, not just this slow-mo rap video baller bullshit. I also like "Feel Me Momma," including the intro where he says fuck the Iraq War, etc.

Do yall see a future politicization of bay area rap music? Some artists, like Coup, Zion I, etc. have been promoting righteous politics for a long time, but a lot of gangsta rappers have lacked any willingness to hit these issues. What do you think?

What "gangsta rappers" do you think could pull off a political song (like Jadakiss "Why")?

I could see: Jacka, San Quinn, maybe Frontline, E-40, and a few others... I would like to see all those artists team up with people like Dead Prez, the Coup, Zion I, etc. and get down with some real hot political shit.

Oh Mr. Kee too, have yall heard his verse on one of them songs with (pre-molestation) SPM? He's spittin some FIRE about Bush.

yeah i feel you on that, i didnt expect messy to get on that real shit on that album, but it was coo tho. Quinn, Jacka, Locksmith, 40, can all get down on that kind of sound too tho, as well as that slap shit. If Ya Boy spit a track about all the shit goin on in the bay, it would be a classic. A bay artist needa do it kinda like game, how he spits that radio shit, but he also got that real talk material too.

I can definitely see Jacka taking that role. He seems more like the conscious rapper type to me.

He contradicts himself on that album tho he says fuck the war in iraq and then on the dvd that comes with the album it shows him at the radiostation and som1 that just came back from the war calls in and he says "man i appreaciate you going out and fighting for our country, one love to the united states!!!"

Those are my 2 favorite songs on the CD.
